but I paid for it

You mean as important as getting annoyed with a roll of sticky tape and you can't find the end so you can peel it off, spend 2 or 3 minutes doing it and feel like a total dickhead when someone else takes over and has it done in 3 seconds

Then there are the cops and judges who don't understand that putting a pillow over a roommate's face and lying on top of it for several minutes is a reasonable solution.

First time I moved outta home from Mum and Dad we had a housemate like that with the dishes and cups and all that stuff.
One other housemate got sick of it and got all the dirty stuff out of the sink and stuffed it all under his blankets on the bed for a few days while the offending housemate was away for a few days ..... Now, have you any idea how bad gravy can smell after a few days
