Bernard Cribbins was in 'Carry on Jack' along with Juliet Mills, as Albert Poopdecker. He was in two others, 'Carry on Spying' and 'Carry on Columbus', which was an unmitigated disaster for many of the comedians that were talked into it.

In the uncensored version of Carry On England there are three scenes of topless ladies. Two outdoors and one in the barracks. Windsor Davies reprises his exact role from 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum!'. |

The film "carry on up the Khyber" uses the same tartan that was used in the film "tunes of glory", and Ive seen an episode of the saint where Scottish troops are also wearing kilts of a very similar tartan.

There are several of what they call 'non clan' tartans; that they use for either such purposes as in films, or just for us 'sassenachs' to wear while visiting the highland games etc.... I'm assured that if you choose to wear a clan tartan that you are not entitled to wear through family ties or other reasons, the Scots can get rightly quite cross with you.....

I Google'd "Carry On Girls" and in the Wikipedia text I found :-
Discreet cuts by the BBFC (mainly in the hotel fight sequence between bikini-clad contestants played by Barbara Windsor and Margaret Nolan) enabled the film to gain the more commercially acceptable A certificate (open to families) than the more restrictive AA certificate, barring entry to the under-fourteens. Does anyone have the uncut version of this scene ? |

If anyone else is able to upload this (plus any other censored scenes from the Carry On films) I would be grateful to see these images. |

Carry On Films and the Censors
The vast majority of the disagreements between Peter Rogers the producer and the Secretary of the BBFC, John Trevelyan were verbal rather visual, you have to remember that the Carry On films where aimed at family audiences, and in their time had either U and then later A certificate.
The topless scene in Carry On England was passed with an AA certificate with the scene in, but due to a poor box office it was withdrawn re-cut and reclassified as an A certificate. I posted a clip of this scene earlier in this thread and I have just re-hosted the clip, here is a link. http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...5&postcount=18 Peter Rogers liked his films to run around 90 minutes, so many scenes ended up on the cutting room floor in order for that to happen. For instance David Essex had five lines in Carry On Henry that was deleted, One of the series scenes where Henry is trying to see Bettina in the nude ended up on the cutting room floor. In Carry On Cruising there was originally going to be a cocktail party scene, in the film you see Liz Fraser and Dilys Laye getting ready but no party scene, in the missing scene Kenneth Connor accidentally rips off Liz's dress. I posted picture of the deleted scene on Liz's thread, here is a link to that post. http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...3&postcount=32 I scanned the image from a book titled Carry On Uncensored that covers this subject in some detail.
