It has occured to me, a lot of people take nude photographs of their wife. I am interested in finding out who suggested taking photographs first. In our case it was me, and took me a little while to talk my wife into it. But she is quite relaxed about it now
We started off with polaroids, but now with digital it's much easier and better.

Who first suggested posing nude?

A Schoolteacher called Mr Chitty.

And I hope to God, some of my ex-classmates, since then, have kicked him senseless.

We were a priviledged class.... 7/8 year olds... top stream in a working class town.... and were trusted to walk after prayers/assembly along the Main Road, to a Church Hall.... with or without Mr Chitty ~ our teacher.... about half a mile away.
I suppose we were the post-war-babyboomers.... no classrooms, no buildings etc. for the avalanche of kids needing school in the early 50s

Mr Chitty was loved by us all. He talked about how he parachuted into Burma during the war... parachuted through trees and jungles....... how he carried over his shoulder, injured comrades... to safety 20 miles away.
I remember him asking us who'd been to Birmingham... no answer... or Coventry... Liecester..... No Answer..... We all put our hands up when he said Nuneaton.... (2 miles away)..... and he said...IIRC..... he carried his injured comrades there and back a dozen times.... like the Earth was a the size of an apple pip..... if the big Cinema in Nuneaton was the Sun.

He was pretty good in the main for 7/8 year olds......I've still got the Water marbling Christmas Cards he made us make ourselves.

BUT......

We were in a Church Hall, half-a-mile from school and on Friday Afternoons
Mr Chitty had a Class called "Drawing". I dreaded it.
Our teacher put a chair on a table on which one of us would sit, wearing only knickers or underpants.... whilst the rst of the class, at least 30/40 had to draw them from whatever distance they sat.
It was a Church Hall, with a Stage behind us. Pretty big.

I know I confided to other boys that I would runaway if chosen, and they agreed, cos we were all from 'poorer' families,we thought, none of us had "underpants"

Mr Chitty only used 2/3 boys.... almost always girls.
Boys had 'underpants' and never said where they got them from when asked by us.... probably hoping for a source in case we were picked.....

I was the "best" drawer ... "early perve" ?....
~ and NEVER GOT PICKED TO POSE... instead my 'smiley' type scribbles were held up as examples before the next Friday Afternoon horror.

Kids didn't say, in those days..... it was only years later.... a decade later.... we realised something was wrong. When we were in our teens.
And the very few 7/8 year olds I classed with, that I met later... just blew it off as Mr Chitty being a "Perve"

A girl I had a 7 year old crush on... Marjory Hopkins.... was chosen by Mr Chitty for us to draw. She was trembling all the time she sat on the chair, on a desk at the front of a Chrurch Hall.

HE... Mr Chitty was the one to suggest Marjory took her knickers off.... I remember him yelling loud.

She collapsed off the chair and the desk..... most of us ran, in case we were the next 'models'.


For the life of me I can't recall what happened later. I do know we, as a class were bought into the Senioir school, without Marjory.
I met her years later,when back in the midlands but she'd become a proto-punk and just shrugged ... but she knew what I was hinting at.

In our case it was a good friend back in the eighties.

He’d gotten into photography in a big way, to the extent that he’d even set up a dark room at home to develop his films.

When I was at his house one evening he threw me a roll of 35mm slide film and said. “Here you are. Get your girl naked for the camera and we can develop the shots here!”

She stripped for my camera. He got to see her naked as he developed and checked the film and I got to keep some great shots of my now wife at her best. One of which can be seen in my avatar.
