I guess it does much matter if one or ones family isn't directly impacted, its just a "statistic" to those who voted for Clinton & wanted to bring even more illegals here?

I guess they all aren't valedictorians or "just here to work" now are they? I have experienced an impact of an illegal alien from Mexico, who was deported numerous times for crimes & with the ridiculously lax border came back every time , often with a different alias, until he took the life of a very productive , & prominent US citizen. Even the illegal alien who did what is deemed by the party that represents illegal aliens, & stole or bought a US citizens social security number,& used it as her own, that that party fluffs it off as a very minor crime, unless a US citizen does it, should be deported immediately. In virtually all nations in the world , not to mention the one she came from, which certainly has laws that call for a 10 year jail sentence or more for such an act, would have deported her , or sent her to prison. But in this "new" nation & the "new" party that has lost its sanity, right is now wrong & wrong is now right, as up is down & down is up. It only matters to the "bleeders" if they or one of theirs are on the "receiving" end of a crime like this. Not at all significant to a party that thinks its best way to retain power, is to down play crimes like this, & "build bridges" so much more of this possibility can come to fruition. Crimes that aren't violent in nature but do impact US citizens here are considered , irrelevant to that certain party!
Yeah, we got a problem with violent criminals coming here from El Salvador and Guatemala. These guys are horrible. They come from countries where the CIA has bankrolled and trained death squads for decades in the name of "fighting communism." (I remember hearing reports as far back as middle school.) On the one hand, we have women and children coming here seeking to escape these guys; on the other we have these animals coming here as part of gangs trafficking in cocaine and heroin. It almost makes one wish for the bad old days when the cops would simply take these guys outside the city limits and put bullets in the back of their heads.

Folks are raising Cain about immigrants getting benefits. Those of us who have found our way into these programs have oodles of stories of being unable to receive benefits, being cutoff without notice, months of appeals and phone calls, and hours spent in crowded waiting rooms. It is very difficult for Americans to navigate these agencies. It must be nearly impossible for non-English speakers.

You would no doubt feel very differently if it was your mom being deported for using a bogus Social Security number 10 years ago. Or, your dad arrested while dropping your younger brothers and sisters off at school, and deported on an old drunk driving offense. Would you like to worry everyday about your brother being deported to a country he doesn't know because he was brought here as a toddler? You get get to stay because your parents had you after they arrived.

The whole immigration thing is a mess not given to simple solutions and black and white thinking. There is something wrong when we are deporting stay at home moms, college students, and hotel dishwashers supporting a wife and 4 kids, but we can't seem to catch and deport killers covered in tattoos. (BTW, I do not consider hanging to be "cruel and unusual punishment.")

My guess is because very few are rich enough or do actual real estate deals of the amounts needed to know about such

Santee, You absolutely have a point. Although I think it is connected to people getting news from TV & their Web Bubbles instead of newspapers. Any big city paper has articles about developers getting tax breaks anytime they do anything. This has been built into US economy & tax laws for years. But it's not TV stuff.

Other thing is how DT fans dismiss it completely. He's a bizzman, pays only taxes required. That's the Law. What's wrong w that? I don't think they have done any more real estate deals than Trump's opponents, but they are OK w it. Do they know what tax breaks he used & whether they make any sense? No, doesn't matter, cuz he's their Trump.

So ~50% think it's a non-issue. Other 50%, his liberal opponents, supposedly well-informed, are the ones "shocked". Or they have been pretending to be for many months now. Maybe my real beef is w them.

Default Senate intelligence panel rejects Trump wiretap claim

There are "no indications" that Trump Tower was under surveillance by the US government before or after the election, a Senate committee has said.

The statement from Republican Senator Richard Burr, Senate Intelligence Committee chairman, dismissed Donald Trump's claim his phones were tapped.

Mr Trump had accused his predecessor Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower during the presidential race.

But White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Mr Trump maintains his claims.

"He stands by it," Mr Spicer said at a daily news briefing on Thursday.

The press secretary also refused to accept the Senate Intelligence Committee report, saying "they're not findings".

Regardless of the panel's findings, as I said in this earlier post, Trump's comments has done its work...

Default Trump's budget: Winners and losers

President Donald Trump has released a budget plan that proposes sharp cuts to many US agencies and increased spending on the military.

Known as a "skinny budget", it will initially be limited to the $1tn ( £0.81tn) portion of the $4tn annual federal budget that pays for US agencies and departments.

Although Mr Trump's Republicans control both houses of Congress, segments of the budget plan are expected to face stiff resistance across the parties.

At a rally in Nashville, Trump explained new setbacks on his travel ban and Obamacare replacement by suggesting he was convinced or forced to do things differently than he would have preferred.

Trump said shortly after a district judge in Hawaii halted the second version of his travel ban that it was merely a “watered-down” version of the original. He added that he had wanted to fight the first ban in court rather than issue a second one.

Obama is off the hook. Apparently we, the Brits, tapped Trump's phone via GCHQ.

Except of course the whole thing is a fantasy and Trump has caused a very undiplomatic row by accusing a NATO ally of subterfuge.

There's been an private apology and a promise not to repeat - but no admission that the whole thing is rubbish.

The man and his team are a bunch of copper-bottomed idiots.

US will 'not repeat' claims GCHQ wiretapped Donald Trump

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39300191

The US has agreed not to repeat claims the UK's communications intelligence agency wiretapped Donald Trump during the presidential election campaign.

Trump said Mr Obama "didn't use the NSA, he didn't use the CIA, he didn't use the FBI and he didn't use the Department of Justice, he used GCHQ.
But now Trump says apparently it wasn't the Brits used by Obama.

So just who did Obama use? The KGB? the Chinese? the Mexicans? the men from UNCLE?

The plot thickens.

Exclamation NSA? GCHQ? No it was the BS!

Trump was wire-tapped by the BS! The very same people he himself sent to Hawaii to look into Obama's parentage, people who exist only in the deepest darkest recesses of his fervent imagination who only come out when he runs out of facts.

America, feelin' "great" yet?
