I think in a perfect world all would contribute. Unfortunately in every civilization and society there are parasites.

You're right. There are people who take more from this system than they morally deserve. But if one starts from the assumption that full employment is increasingly unrealistic because of increasing rationalization and increasing shift of jobs to low wage countries, it's perfectly normal that there is a proportional and permanent unemployed mass. It's still the much smaller and above all the cheaper thing for our society to allow also unemployed people a decent life.

The money is not anchored in their wallets. It flows back into the economic cycle. It helps to stimulate the domestic economy and to secure jobs at home. This closes the circle.

That wasn't Germany. That was Bavaria, and Bavaria is abroad.

It's not true there are no speed limits - there are speed limits in many places. And Autobahns are seriously full of trucks, about a gazillion per km, maybe more. So it can be hard to drive fast, even if you own a Porsche

The best time to drive is Sunday morning, before the 'Sunday drivers' arrive

Everyone in Germany contributes and pays tax, even if it's 'only' sales tax. I don't know how anyone could 'not contribute' in some way. Even if they lived in a bubble, I don't know how they could 'not contribute'

Excellent.

Now I need to try and persuade a Government to give me "free" money so that I can spend it and pay a tax. I wonder if that would work if everyone tried it??

Sorry, Nobody, I did not mean to give the impression that I was talking about the unemployed. In the past and just now, I have joined their ranks.

However I was talking about the "never employed or even tried to be employed".
