Drink beer or soda now that I have had gastric sleeve surgery, because the carbonation would result in nausea, vomiting, or even a staple line tear that would be very painful, as well as defeating the surgery itself. I cannot take the chance of ruining my doctor's work, if we are committed to dropping 70 pounds from my body in 12-18 months, which is typical for gastric sleeve patients.
