This must have been a legal grey area in the mid -70's, but for a time it was possible to buy magazines in your average High Street newsagent depicting uncensored insertion of objects into the vagina such as this...



Around thirty years ago I found a tattered fragment in a hedgerow and I still think about it even now- does this ring a bell with anyone? The model's name is Honey, the accompanying text says that she likes to lick honey from her boyfriend's penis - in the fragment I remember, Honey uses the handle of an umbrella to masturbate - the caption says something like it's not ideal but its long and stiff etc...Possibly a Playbirds/Lovebirds ?

Can anyone put me out of my misery?

David Sullivan, who now owns the Daily Sport and Sunday Sport in the UK, was behind Playbirds and several sister magazines, which started in the 1970s. He was the first one to capitalise on the profitability of 'open-leg' shots - unheard of in mainstream porn mags in the UK at the time - and despite problems with the police he persevered and achieved huge sales.

i was born in 1963 and so by 1976 was well into porn mags if i could beg or borrow them from mates who had older brothers.
i started on the usual stuff (Mayfair, Penthouse, MO , Club etc) but then i saw my first Playbirds and the open leg shots and i was hooked.

It was indeed francoise bardot (was there anything in the editorial about the cucumber or have i got that wrong) i also seem to recall there was someone called Debbie inserting a vibro in the same edition ( i have a picture on my private hard drive that i will try to post)
i am going to be greedy here but do you have anymore from no 15 or similar period that you can post as i love the early playbirds
