Above all, this is not a political issue between Russia and Egypt. There is no one in the political mix who has a vested interest in the findings of the investigation. Both the Russian and the Egyptian authorities would rather like to know what actually happened and aren't starting from a basis point that they already say that they know. I myself am not anxious to make this tragedy into a political football either.

I don't normally buy the Daily Mail but I did today, and these stories caught my eye:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...k-picture.html Shows just how shallow this man is. There was a heartbreaking photograph of Dave Phillips' funeral which brings home that many of the news stories we discuss hide personal tragedies. The actual photo doesn't seem to be online. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ick-truck.html

Update on situation regarding no phoneline/internet (using my father's BT Hub wi-fi at present) I feel that EE or Orange have le me down because they promised me |I would be back up and running by Tuesday - well here we are Tuesday afternoon and still phone line or internet access. I shall be having words tomorrow morning when I ring up to complain - bloody International call centres, it would be easier if they were based here instead smegging India! (I hasten to add I have nothing against Indians) just companies that use it as their base of operations. Keep ya posted.

Pull the other one it's got bells on
Should making fun of Sikhs be banned? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-34707218 Come on please take a breather those jokes are not offensive, the only crime they are guilty of is not being funny. Not even Tom O'Connor or Jimmy Tarbuck would have used them. I've heard many of those same jokes about the Irish, Scots, Yorkshire folk etc, you name it and the same jokes are recycled worldwide to have a dig at others. This is where the over-sensitive PC crowd cross the line into banality, I've had people take the piss out of my size, taste in clothes (loud) and other things, it doesn't bother me one bit as I can and do take the piss back on them even better and what's more I can have a laugh at myself at the same time far better than most of those who think they are funny. Trying to ban jokes is a sign of excessive sensitivity, just wrap the poor dears in cotton wool, kick em up the jacksie and just say piss off back to work you idle shower. This is what it leads to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxFqv1QDI3Q

IF this is an esclataion of terrorist activity by ISIS related groups, it puts the situation into a different dimension. Interesting to see how this plays out especially with the Russians. |

Well I am back on my PC which means that my problem has been fixed. It turns out that someone who was working on a cabinet up the road inadvertently cut me off, but there was also a fault at the main exchange. Anyway after another call to India, sorry Orange (EE) it has been fixed.
I think these new measures drawn up by the Government is going to worry a lot of people especially those that put a lot of personal information on social media etc but if you've done nothing wrong and don't look at websites you shouldn't, then you've nothing to worry about have you...but I hope these safeguards that useless waste of space Theresa May says will be enforced do what they say they will OR there will be a major backlash. Still sounds like the old snoopers charter to me. And speaking of lack of police they are rightly worried about the Anonymous march being planned tomorrow evening in London(didn't Russell Brand turn up to that last year?). As there is no clear leader or head of an organisation this could lead to the sort of chaos that happened last year. The police are heavily strained at the moment so you can't expect them to be able to cope with thousands of marchers and no doubt the inevitable troublemakers (usually identified by their stupid masks and overalls) If they are that sure of themselves then why wear a mask? People have the right to protest but peacefully and without ordinary members of the public being hassled.
