Best screen-grab program
I'm back to being able to upload vids again, but now need a decent screen-grab program for the previews.
A couple of the free-ones just seem full of malware, so has anyone got suggestions as to which is best? Free or bought, I'll have a look at them all. |

best is so subjective but for ease of use
media player classic home cinema is what i've always used for basic captures as simple as file / save image / save thumbnails and you select the size number where to be saved http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...eplacement.htm the above site is good for offering freeware while pointing out any extras which is what sets most security suites off |

Thanks for the reply, you got me thinking about the way I used to do it and after a bit of 'right-clicking' on VLC player I found the 'take snapshot' option.
The phrase "What a moron." is galloping at full speed in my direction. |

vlc is my last resort for files that wont play on others
will give you single snapshots as pngs (much larger than jpgs) unless you go into tools /preferences/video/video snapshots - scroll down - change to jpg same place you choose which folder to save them in otherwise it defaults to its own the only thing lacking is the technical details of the clip on the caps |
