Mozilla for browsing is good, but get the Norton firewall, and update it often.

I was using earlier Kaspersky, McAfee, NOD32 etc...

First of all there is a free antivirus program that I have had for about a year now called AVG. best way to find it is to google "free AVG". They offer a pay version but the free one is fine. For spyware i use a program called Spyware Blaster. Just google "Spyware Blaster". You can also go to Microsoft if you are using Windows and get the Microsoft AntiSpyware program. There is also a great program called CleanUp which is also free. Google "Cleanup". It cleans out all cookies, temp files, internet history, etc. Only downfall is that it does clean out all of your websites that you have visited. So if there are any websites you absolutely need be sure to put them in your favorites. Hope this helped.

WinXP SP2
AVG Antivirus Free
Spaware Blaster
SpyBot Search & Destroy
PC DoorGuard 3
Zone Alarm pro
Complete scan with AVG everyday
Once a week complete scan with SpyBot
For now, no problem.

both come from the same company (symantec), so they are compatible, yes.

update antivirus, disconnect from the internet, start windows in safe mode, run full system scan, scan also w/ spybot s&d & lavasoft adaware, use process explorer to see what processes are running, all ok? connect to the internet.

in general: run latest windows security updates,

avoid anything like iexplorer, outlookexpress, msn messenger, there are opensource alternatives, also when in porn sites, dont use anything like javascript and directx, get rid of them if you can
