Here in Texas people are stealing big pickup trucks and then driving them through storefronts and walls of stores so they can steal the free standing ATM machines.

There also has been several attempts by idiots trying to steal the bolted down ATM machines that are at banks' drive through lane using all different ways, ties metal wires around it and then tie the other end to the back of a pickup truck and try to pull them off.

In one recent attempt someone even stole one of those portable cranes that you can drive.

Those ATM machines at drive through lanes are bolted down into the cement pavement, most likely with bolts that have rods that are at least a foot into the pavement.

You can't dislodge them off the ground so easily.

Even if you are able to successfully steal a free standing ATM or a drive through ATM, you still have to get them open.

They have so many layers.

I've been to the bank drive through when they have the Diebold company white vans with technicians escorted by armed guards to service the ATMs and refill them.

Code:
https://www.dieboldnixdorf.com/en-us
It takes several keys to open several layers of paneling on the front of the ATM machine before they can even get to the inside part where the money is kept.

Damn he is one lucky boy!!

What the fuck was the meat skewer doing in the yard on the ground in the grass and for him to be impaled by it when he landed on the ground after falling out of the tree house, that skewer had to be in a 90 degrees angle pointing straight up from the ground.

Is spectacularly dubious

Quote:
Boshirov said the two had gone to visit Salisbury Cathedral, noting its high spire. “There’s the famous Salisbury Cathedral, famous not just in Europe, but in the whole world,” he said. “It’s famous for its 123-metre spire, it’s famous for its clock, the first one [of its kind] ever created in the world, which is still working.”

While they walked around Salisbury, he added, the two men “maybe approached Skripal’s house, but we didn’t know where it was located”.
Just two international cathedral enthusiasts . . . of course.

Quote:
“We were just taking in the English gothic [style],” he said. “Nobody shows that part,” Petrov added, noting the CCTV stills mostly showed the two men at railway stations.
Yes, admirers of the English gothic . . . so often misunderstood.

All makes sense now.

Just the other day, I was chatting at the bar with a friend -- "you know what we haven't done in a while?"

-- get piss drunk and visit the whores?

"No, visit some cathedrals"

I wonder how much money is actually inside an ATM? I suppose it varies depending upon location and traffic.

You could probably break one off the ground easily with a big front end bucket loader, and dump it into a truck.

They must have alarms for that sort of situation, so you'd have to hurry like hell. I know they have cameras. Every time you take money out of an ATM your picture is snapped.

I am guessing modern ATMs have an internal power source with a GPS tracker too, just in case, you might get back to your hideaway and start on the ATM with your welding torch and then out of nowhere have a dozen cop cars pull up outside full of cops with shotguns coming to bust your ass, having followed the GPS signal right to your house.

Seems like if you were a robber, you'd just be better off going into a bank with a pistol, rather than going to all that trouble with an ATM.

And it's not like there's any Cathedrals to visit in London.
Why visit a dozen in London when you can visit just one in Salisbury?

Of course being from Russia and not being used to cold British March weather and there visit was totally ruined on the Saturday by a bit of slush so they had to return the next day to properly enjoy that 123m spire and clock.

As strangely there was no CCTV footage at all of this maybe they'll post all their treasured selfies of themselves living the dream at the Cathedral just to prove all those doubters wrong.
