This scene reminds me of a similar scene featuring Alison Steadman in another BBC production 'Through the Night', TX'd in 1975 as part of the 'Play for Today' series. This was originally uploaded by Steve here:

In the broadcast version of Julie Graham's initial scene a caption comes up which "conveniently" conceals her lower half as she is standing in the bedroom. However in the uncut version there is no obscuring caption and she is seen fully frontal. Her other scene is in the bed where she is complaining about stomach pains to her boyfriend Dr Campbell. This scene goes on for a bit longer in the uncut version as we see Campbell lower the sheets and check her abdomen. It is therefore only slightly different but if you compare the shots you'll see the sheet is lower.

I read somewhere that she was a stripper one of the Pythons met/picked up in a pub. I'll try to find the source.
