And once, while watching a video, I lost all audio. Took a long time to find a solution. Can't say I exactly remember what I did either.
Then I finally got one of those monster updates, right before I was going to bed. Kept me up an extra hour, rat bastards!
I miss the old days.

I miss the old days.
And I also was victim of the disappearing act of some video files.
Regularly, I can't find some video files anymore.

I have to remember their names, to be able to write them in the search window of the files Explorer.
In that case they reappear (the names) and I copy them in their original place.

I have not definitely lost any file but regularly I find some which inexplicably disappear.
As a result I am very careful with the dust-bin (in case some of these files would be in there).

This situation is most annoying.

This could be rolling out with the next biannual update on 1st April 2019.

Now, apparently, Microsoft's brand new Chromium-based browser which is scheduled to be replacing Edge is going to be called...er...Edge! (Well, I suppose it could have been called Bono.)

It's just one of an exciting new batch of innovative features for the April 2019 Update currently being rigorously put through its paces by Microsoft's "Window 10 Insiders" (known as beta-testers in the rest of the world.)

In reality, apart from a few minor cosmetic changes, it looks like the main purpose of the April 2019 Update will be to patch over all the errors in its predecessor.

Isn't that what all the W10 patches are for?

Well, I hope you are right, but in the meantime I differ as long and I can, just in case ...

In fact I am surprised being able to suspend as long as two weeks.
Would that be an improvement ?

Default A new version of Windows 10 ?

Microsoft is actually working on a new version of Windows 10 which shall not be called Windows.

This new version will be ripped of all the Win32 plumbing and is intended as a rival of ChromeOS.

This and the new version of Edge mentionned by Catweasl28 would help Microsoft to "seduce" windows 7 and Windows 8 users who are reluctant to change to Windows 10 (and I can perfectly unerstand them).

By the way it is probable MS will try to launch this new version of Edge on the Apple OS.
I would like to know the opinion of Estreeter ?

If you are having issues with your PC shutting down from time to time
with the blue screen of death which i was for ages after i installed Windows 10
I may have a solution for you. I was becoming frustrated i tried everything and nothing worked i even took my problem to a PC Repairer who removed the remnants of previous programs but that didn't work then i went back and un installed from windows updates things i thought i didn't need the only thing was Adobe Updates so i deleted them all and continue to do so problem solved the updates were causing conflict not 100% sure but it hasn't happened since.

Anyway it's worth a try but it worked for me.

Default Is there a war beetween Google and Microsoft ?

Joshua Bakita is an ancient of Microsoft crew.

According to him the new Edge by Microsoft is impeded by Google.

Google would include secret bits of code in its API that would result in terribly slowing the system.
He gives as an example Firefox which is very slow on YouTube.

That is possible, especially when you know that Microsoft people have amply proven they are not the best programmers.

So the future of the next version of EDGE is not really good.
