Dolph Lungren(Draco in Rocky 4) made a prediction that Liverpool will lose 3-0 to Everton-yeah mate stick to acting and leave the real experts like Lawro to get it right 2-0. We need to keep up the pressure on Man City as they pull 5 pts clear so a win is vital to do that, just the filip we need for the loss against PSG last Wednesday, then Burnley on Wednesday this week

Watching the pre game coverage. Michael Owen reminding us he supported Everton as a kid.
Haha **** you Michael! Keeping a lid on it though. Everton could be flying like City and Liverpool could be in the relegation position, they'd still knock us off. Liverpool could get relegated, they'd still do the double against us. Haha |

Well its not been the walk in the park for either team. Salah was less than on fire, Mané had chances and Firmino hardly had a shot-this is the problem when you fiddle about with the line up 4-3-3 is the best line up to play, Brendan Rodgers did the same thing with the formation and it didn't work. Stick to what works Jurgen! It sounds like Everton are gaining in confidence but being at home Liverpool need to win this game fast or Man City will build on it and be out of sight by the New Year.

Bugger me! It sounds like Pickford made a terrible ricket and gifted it to Origi-who missed earlier and has given Liverpool the vital 3 pts we needed - it's an ugly win, but a win-is-a-win and points keep the pressure on Man City(realistically if they don't slip up they have the title this year) but we need to play a lot better than that and stick to the tried and tested 4-3-3. I'm drained after that, thank god I didn't watch it.

The winning goal was farce from the start, taken from the wrong place, hoofed into the box, bounced off someone's head to Van D, who tried to convert for three points and the less said about Pickford the better.

As for Klopp running onto the pitch, is there any precedent for that? Something like a 3 game touchline ban maybe?

Maureen-O once ran the full length of the touchline to celebrate but the only instance I can think of was when Luton Town saved thenselves from relagation and their manager David Platt(?) anyway it was David someone, who became a pundit on radio 5 live, raced onto the pitch trying to do his jacket up as he leapt up and down. Klopp did immediately apologise to Silva and he accepted it-it was just a spur of the moment thing.

I'd like to thank Pickford for ably demonstrating why, im(notvery)ho he is the new Rob Green.
Still, sell him to Man Utd for £70m if paper talk is to be believed. Get Pochettino in as well to replace JM, while you're at it too... As for Klopp, he ruddy well should get a three match touchline ban for that - there are precedents - Wagner at Huddersfield, back in their promotion season and yes, it was David Pleat, at Maine Road, as Luton somehow avoided relegation and have never looked back since. Sort of. Meanwhile, if it's possible to thrash a team 2-0, then that's precisely what Palace did to Burnley, who incidentally, arguably had MotM in Joe Hart, ironically now playing better than ever in a fast descending Clarets side. Andros Townsend scored one of his too-infrequent specials and if Palace had a striker worthy of the name they'd be safe and sound. Meanwhile, back at Bramhall Lane, Leeds had their second early Christmas gift from an opposing keeper (is this the new 'thing'?), following the one at Wigan. Still, three points is three points. |
