G20: Hamburg sees clashes between police and protesters
Police and protesters have clashed in the German city of Hamburg where the G20 is due to start on Friday.
Organisers had cancelled the march following the violence, police said, but many demonstrators remained on the streets. At least one person appeared to have been seriously hurt and was carried away covered by a foil blanket. World leaders including US President Donald Trump are in Hamburg for talks on a wide range of issues. Details: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-40526169

Personally as someone who believes the biggest problem in the world is overpopulation I have a problem with anyone having six kids but at least he is not asking for state support. |

I respect your opinion but disagree.
I have carefully listened to what he says - and it is plausible and well argued right enough. But all too often it is just part of the story because he has no life experience beyond his privileged group. I can always think of things that his arguments, temporarily dazzling though they be, have skated over. My journalist/editor friend (right wing paper) shares my view from his personal experience. Perhaps you have had different experiences but, on the evidence I have, I would need some persuasion to change my current view. |

While certain parts of England is getting a superhot summer, Chicago, Illinois is getting a rare cooler than normal Summer. I live along the shores of Lake Michigan, and so far the highest temperature my neighborhood has received has been 89 degrees F. West of the lake there have been six days over a two week period that had 90 or higher degree days, but that is still lower than what we should have received by now. Most days have been in the low 80's with moderate humidities.

As for escalation, what exactly do you mean with it? Also, maybe such robots could come with some kind of registration and observation of the buyer (just thinking out loud here) |

However, I'm quite certain that such robots would be made illegal, if ever they were made.

In the UK anything classed as pseudo underage is banned so I suspect a sexdoll that looks like a minor would fall into that category. You can now be sent to jail for example for viewing/downloading parody cartoon images of Bart and Lisa Simpson having sex. Even though no child was involved at all and its imagination and a cartoon its still illegal. So I would imagine an actual robot doll wouldn't stand a chance of being legalised. |
