I live in the Bay Area, I am by location a Dubs fan - but I feel a lot of pity for LeBron James - the poor guy has to face the Warriors for the foreseeable future - even with the refs helping - near impossible to beat. KD deserves his ring.

I hope the Dubs keep their core team for the next three or four years, but guys on other teams who deserve a ring - not much chance of that happening.

Bogut got some bad breaks, in more ways than one.

It will be an interesting off season. KD can opt out and is expected to get a new deal. Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Patrick McCaw, Kevon Looney, and Damian Jones are under contract. Everyone else is a free agent and Steph Curry is up for a big raise. David West may retire. Javale McGee would be crazy to go anywhere else. Ian Clark, Shaun Livingston, Andre Iguodala, and perhaps Zaza Pachulia will likely be getting big offers to go elsewhere. Teams will try to throw big money at Durant and Curry to lure them away.

My feeling is that Curry and Durant plan to stay and will be flexible in salary. The new trend seems to be signing a 2 year deal with a second year player option. Curry is pretty much guaranteed a job with the Warriors for life if wants one. I don't think Iguodala wants to leave, either. The guys all seem to really enjoy playing together. We may well see core players take less money to stay. McAdoo, Clark and Livingston would be candidates to leave for more money and playing time. The Warriors have no draft picks, but will be looking to carve out playing time for Looney and Jones to determine their futures. We can also expect many veteran players willing to play for the minimum to get a real shot at a ring. $1.5 million to work hard in practice and play 10 to 15 minutes a game is nice work, if you can find it.

I think the point is, that GS did something the rest of the league should pay attention to. Cleveland did too, only not as efficiently. In the end, we found out that even building a team around the NBA's premiere talent wasn't enough consistently.

Not when the other two pieces of the triumvirate are defense adverse. Really, Kyrie has the tools if he put his mind to it and Popovitch proved that a slow white guy who can't jump like David Lee can be made into an effective defender. The Warriors began the transition when they made the commitment to defense under Mark Jackson. Curry lacks the lateral quickness of a Kyrie Irving, but always gives best effort. Green, Iguodala, and Livingston are the gritty defenders the Cavs lack. When the Dubs struggle is when they get lazy on defense. Quality NBA defense is very hard work. It is not easy to slow down scorers as skilled as NBA players.
