I like Chris Harris, he's a true car guy who has achieved what all us car guys dream of. It's cool to see him on TV.

I guess why I liked it so much was that the "grand tour" of Italy reminded me so much of the old TG. The trips were my favorite part of the old show.

I like Rory Reid and to some extent Matt Le Blanc although I cannot believe we couldn't have found a British presenter but that is by-the-by, however I read that Chris Harris, who replaced Chris Evans as one of the three co-presenters for this new series is beginning to rankle viewers - give it and him a chance for heavens sake it is only just starting a new series.

Pains me to say it but that wasn't a bad show this week !

The one that featured the dodge challenger demon ( which I'll buy when I win the lottery )
And the Hyundai N30 which I'll buy anyway in a few years time when they've fell into my price range .
The Hyundai left a golf gti standing .

That was a programme about cars rather than egos .which is why I stopped watching the previous lot .
That Phillip Hammond for example .
Feck off .

I'm growing to not detest the new TG too.... I'm not averse to Chris Harris, love a bit of German uber-frau Sabine, & can see that Matt is trying his damnedest not to come across so smug as he once did.

Having also caught a few glimpses of what the 3 amigos are now churning out, perhaps it was good they left when they did. Sadly, you can't make a motoring show like they used to; political correctness and all that; so we have to like or loathe the format we are left with... I'm glad of YT, so I can look back at my leisure to those golden days of William Woollard, or check out VBH's classy chassis & stiff nips on Fifth Gear reruns.

Even though you can tell most of the banter is scripted, the lads are plainly enjoying each others company.
I actually found myself smiling and actually laughing out loud during the latest eposide.

The light hearted conflict between Harris and Le Blanc is very amusing to me.

I think they are heading in the right direction and they will find a good balance between being a car show and an entertainment show.

I think the new threesome is excellent. They can keep rolling on as far as I am concerned and the segments are creative and beautifully photographed as expected. Always a high point for me when a new season comes along and Matt was an inspired casting choice. I'd like to know more about his personal car collection.
