SRN Studio Model Image Set Index

I have a few questions concerning the literal content and format of the 'Finalized' SRT Studio Thread Index. I am only asking these questions so I begin the process of finalizing the release version of the Index. I only want make sure that my thinking is in alignment with the consensus of the group before I begin...the answers to these questions are strictly for my calibration so that the release Index will match expectations.

In order to ask these questions it is necessary for me to include some the actual Index description dialogue by whatsup and Name-Hunter respectively as follows:

However, the covers of the sets are still revealing: they kept the set number they were first released as. If there were several sets with the same number, they were given the suffix P1, P2, P3, and so on, examples:

A123 - Bonita Saint: 7000_P2_1123_big.jpg
BSB1 - Bonita Saint: 7000_P3_1123_big.jpg
PF16 - Patricia Ford: 7000_P6_1168_big.jpg
FP68 - Patricia Ford: 7000_P7_1168_big.jpg

And this is the way I would sort the examples above into my private collection:
0951 (AL51) ~ B951- Ashley Lauren
0967 (L967) ~ 0967 - Ashley Lauren
1123 (A123) ~ A1123 - Bonita Saint
1123 (BSB1) ~ B1123 - Bonita Saint
1168 (FP68) ~ B1168 - Patricia Ford

The first four digits are only representing the sorting order, the information in brackets are the actual set/file names, and the info following the tilde (~) are references to earlier set/file names.

We still have some details to iron out.

First to the subject that whatsup brought up - set resolutions and Suze naming conventions.

Some may ask “should we include all resolutions of sets in the index?”
And the answer is a resounding YES!
No index would be considered complete or viable without the various resolutions being included.
Collectors of Suze make a serious distinction between the h, s, sc, extended and the new resolution whatsup names Fantasy Set Names. And his naming solution is a very good one for these new sets

So briefly
‘h’ sets - 768/1024 px that the Suze.Net sets were first released
’s’ sets - 1280 px that were the first upgrade to the collection
[note-recent posts by whatsup offer some ’s’ sets in 1344px - new to me!]
’sc’ sets - various resolutions and pic count sets that generally expanded on the collection.
‘extended sets’ - also various resolutions but all with increased pic count
‘Fantasy Set Names’ as described so well by whatsup

That is the hierarchy.
The Index should make an entry for each and in that hierarchal order.
i.e. h, then s, then sc, then extended, then Fantasy as in the following

Questions:

My first question concerns the set naming scheme discussed by whatsup in his conversation above in which he very carefully lays out the evolution of names for SRN sets as they migrate through a series resolution upgrades. The question is: Is the Index required to note this evolution history as indicated in his discussion in Red above. Currently, the posts in the SRN Studio Thread do not contain this information and secondly to do so requires an algorithm which does not exist, that the index building logic can use in its automatic generation of the Index.

What I would like to do is include his discussion of this name evolution up front in the boiler-plate on the Index Main Page. I think it is extremely informative and pertinent to the purpose of the Index...great discussion!

The idea of putting all resolutions in Index is a trivial task and for the most part, has been included in the current Index. I will make sure that continues and that the sequence order follows the scheme described by Name-Hunter above. In addition each set ID in the index, where known, will reflect this with a suffix 'h', 's', SC, Ex, F as has been the practice in the current Index implementation. I do however, have a personal question about image set resolution: I have spinning many, many SRN sets which have previously been posted in the SRN Studio Thread, except these sets are 512x768 px. I have purposely not posted any of these sets because they are redundant, just smaller in resolution; and because of the confusion they might cause whatsup in his current efforts. Should I post these? If the group/members want me to post these, I will, but only after the SRN Index is completely finished.

How does the Thread Index deal with posts that contain multiple different image sets each or contain images from mixed sets?

How does the Thread Index deal with posts whose information is OK, but all the images have been removed by the hosting server? Most of the images have been removed by the host? Half of the images have been removed by the host?

How does the Thread Index deal with multiple posts which are all exactly the same, except for Posted By?

But First I have to outline

Roadmaps

The Index will need a Roadmap to follow so that HiHo can collect and distribute the sets in a logical order. And as we discussed earlier that roadmap should be a list, sorted by setnumber that includes the setprefixes A, B, C, D et. al; and the set suffixes h, s, sc, ext, F in numerical order by setnumber.

The problem for me is…that roadmap does not exist in my collection.
Early in our discussions I found a very nice Suze.net filelist that covers CD01->CD59 and includes most of what is needed. I uploaded it Here and sent a copy to HiHoBoy and Kenmil4. This is what it looks like:



Pros:
• Lists the sets by setnumber and includes setnumber prefixes in order
• Includes pic count
• Has a very nice annotated model list
• Includes ALL sets from ALL of Suze’s various websites [All My Best, Erotic Eye, et. al.]
• Great notes included at the end of the list

Cons:
• Does not list setnumber suffixes
• Is not current as it is dated 2006
• Written in Microsoft Word and not tab delimited so translating it to spreadsheet format or csv is a manual task [IMO]

Hi All,

You need not worry about creating CVS files or importing any of the .xls files contents. I can work with any .xls file directly as long as my version of Excel will open the file...I can even cut/paste the raw spreadsheet data directly into my Access database. I have years of experience converting, importing, and working with Excel spreadsheets...we can simply use source spreadsheet/s as input based on the data that the team thinks is pertinent to the Index or this project.

I can add a list of sets that are missing from the SuzeSetLists Name-Hunter has uploaded. It is a text file, and if it is of use for anybody I'll upload it later. I still have to work on it: checking consistency and adding release dates. The biggest disadvantage: it is incomplete, because I stopped collecting each and every Suze picture in 2008. Later I started again to collect only sets that I was interested in. But I think I got the complete Suze Classics (SC) collection. Here is an excerpt:

This is late, I know. I’ve been stuck trying to update a filelist for HiHoBoy to use as a roadmap.
Initially, I started with the CD-01->18 Excel document but it was grueling work and I was not making good progress.
So; I think we need to use Martins MS Word document that I uploaded Here that covers CD01->CD59 and merge whatsups text of the SC sets into it, then add the Fantasy sets as necessary for an outline of all SuzeNet sets..

I think we should start the index with an introductory post that lays out the plan and then proceed with an outline.
Starting with 0001 and marching through the sets by setnumber.
As sets are found they can be inserted into their proper place in the Index.
And listed in order of resolution. i.e. h, s, sc, ext, F
Incorporating the A,B,C,D et.al prefixes in order

So…using Julie Strain as an example here is what it might look like.
[I realize that the Suze Classics sets have different covers, but for cleanliness of the index I suggest we use only 1 cover for each main heading. Either the std cover or the Suze Classics cover would suffice]

This is really a very tough job to do manually and will take a long time to slough through. I think I can help with that effort, at least I think I can establish a baseline list of the SRN Image Sets in sequence order that also includes the Model Names in the each image set. I have had all the covers from theNudes.com for Suze.net spinning for about 2 weeks now with no problem finding the correct cover for any set in the index...there are a few in the index currently which need to be replaced and I am working that problem.

My idea for the Image Set list is to use the file name from TheNudes.com cover for each image set and extract the set number, prefix, suffix, and models there in and use this data to create a baseline/strawman list so that the team can beat it into final shape much more quickly that doing it from scratch manually...this should be available for everyone by Monday, 16-JUL-2023.

I would like to hold off on finalizing the decision with respect to clustering index links about the model until we have a finalized baseline list of the SRN Images Sets to work from. The current implementation of the Index is made to work with this kind of structure as well as the current layout. So it won't be too hard change to that format. It'll be a little painful for me, but nothing to worry about, I can certainly do it.

In addition I have finished cataloguing all the work posted by whatsup and his references to other posts...the index now includes Suze net posts/image sets from 0000h - Terri Ritter up to and including 0933 - Brittany Shayne, Kelly O'Dell : covering pages 174 to 235. I will continue to add entries to the index as whatsup posts new ones.

I am now going from page 1 back through to the last page, currently 235, documenting each post in entry order so that we will know exactly what has been posted with an assessment IMHO of its usability in the index. The list of posts will indicate whether it is currently in the index, whether it needs to go in the index, and which posts might be a candidate for exclusion based on data that is missing. I should be able to complete this task and have this report ready to everyone in 2 to 3 weeks depending on my schedule.

The list of SRN Image Sets went faster than I had envisioned. The actual document is in MS Word RTF format, in PDF format, as a plain text file, and as an Excel Spreadsheet. All four contain the same dataset and are stored at the respective mediafire links following:

Because the number of SRN Cover filenames is around 6000, the length of these documents is in excess of 200 pages each. The SRN Cover filenames did not contain all the different prefixes and suffixes in our current requirement list. As an example the suffixes ‘h’, ‘ext’, and ‘s’ are not contained in this dataset. Prefixes ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, and ‘E’ are in this dataset. Because the dataset is in several computer friendly formats this allows anyone interested in helping to supplement missing data to simply edit one of the chosen formatted documents to do so. Any of the document formats can be printed on paper, but the dataset is over 200 pages…ouch!

This is a really good question. It's exactly the right kind of question that should result from the SRN Set List that was posted. These types of media and data actually exist and were produced by the SRN Studio. One question is whether any these media type have been posted within the SRN Studio thread? Secondly, if posted, does the index want to handle them...If so how does the Index handle them? This exactly why the list was published so it would draw these types of questions out.

Once these types of questions are answered, then work on the Index can proceed. Be assured that no matter how answers to these questions are worked out, the Index data thus far collected and the structures it is held in will support the resulting answers. I can publish the Index in any format with the look & feel and include any content the team decides it wants. It's just a matter of pushing the collected data around.
