You'll be fine in tropical England. Not hot or cold, and not many monsoons

I've just seen that Sears Roebuck has filed for bankruptcy.

I'm sure that for many American males it was a big part of their hormonal adolescence.

Fess up Palo. There is a dastardly Russian plot to hack into the Cern Hadron Collider in Switzerland and reconfigure our decadent western weather patterns.

I think I read somewhere that Bonnie and Clyde used to get all their clothes, shoes and even guns and ammunition from the Sears and Roebuck catalogue. You can see how this would have suited their special needs better than shopping over the counter.

The US government should intervene to prevent the loss of this iconic American institution. This would be much preferable to bailing out the banking sector.

This would be a disaster. I used to get all my undershirts, boxer shorts and pajamas from Sears. Hopefully they can re-structure their store. It is better than just closing everything and shutting down forever.

I was thinking that Amazon killed Sears, but according to this article, it played only a minor part. https://247wallst.com/retail/2018/10...only-a-little/

On every visit I've made to the US or Canada, I've gone shopping at a Sears store. I've often come home with a selection of Craftsman tools. Really nice quality!
