Dog Day Afternoon (1975)

An somewhat altered account of an August 1972 bank holdup in Brooklyn. Al Pacino leads the cast of this Oscar winner that has a good dose of lunacy in it.

I saw this quite a few years ago and remembered it was good, age and current events make it even more interesting now but I was more interested in seeing the period clothes, hair, street scenes, and cars. There are also some familiar faces in the rest of the cast. I found the head FBI agent to be especially creepy, he reminded me of an individual frequently known as W quite a bit, maybe it was his dull vacant stare.

I don't think I fell asleep while watching it. aside from the ending, it was good!

right now I'm watching "The Talk of the Town", 1942.
starring Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, and Ronald Colman. a rather political movie.

Default Ghost Rider

Giving it another go, a second chance Johnny Blaze.
With Thor, Captain America and Green Lantern to come this year the super-hero genre is alive and kicking.

Kick-Ass

Loved it, Nic Cage collects more souls here than he did as Ghost Rider
The REAL star of the show is Chloe Moritz though, love the Banana Splits and Bad Reputation scenes.

Just seen two movies starring James Mason as Erwin Rommel.
"The desert fox" and the "Desert rats".

Clockwork Orange was never banned in England. Stanley Kubrick withdrew the film after the film was cited as inspiration for crimes as suggested. A rumour has it that SK received an anonymous phone call threatening him and his family if the film was not withdrawn.
Warner Brothers cashed in on the films notoriety by re-releasing it as soon as SK popped it.
