You are right.
I had begun to ask to revert so I was sent to Microsoft's website and I was confronted with a choice of numbers. Being afraid to make matters worse than they are already I decided not to revert after all. I think Microsoft is responsible for this gigantic chaos like always. |

Windows 10 on ARM
Microsoft intends to commercialise a PC running under ARM chips (instead of INTEL).
The drawbacks will be: - no 64 bits applications; - some applications will have to be compiled under Windows 10 to be able to run on these machines; - no complex characters (for exemple it would be difficult in oriental countries); - the usual pilots will not run (for exemple printer pilots); - games will not run if they are old; - those are only a part of the limitations. In conclusion: - you have to be very careful before choosing to buy a PC under ARM; - it is even more problems for developers; personnally I do not intend to buy a PC under ARM; - Microsoft is trying to f**ck us even more; - I think INTEL is more honest, but that is another story. |

Here is something interesting going on with Windows 10 computers. I work in a library and the computers on the checkout desk are setup to delete something when the computer is restarted if the item isn't saved to a certain area. For the past few days the computers have been trying to automatically do updates but the updates are conflicting with being unable to be saved. Therefore the computers are freezing up needing to be restarted.

Yes, win10 updates are involuntary (forced). User can only volunteer to disconnect Win10 PC from net entirely.
Only the enterprise version can opt out of updates.

An ultimatum worth 600 million dollars for Microsoft
Satya Nadella must be a satisfied man.
A discontent user has menaced Microsoft to ask for the sum of 600 million dollars in justice for not replacing the version of Windows 7 which he lost during a failed upgrade towards Windows 10. Frank Dickman is living in Albuquerque, New Mexique. He registered a formal complaint at the United States Court for the District of Colorado against Satya Nadella CEO of Microsoft Corporation. He is arguing that his computer was running under Windows 7 when it was upgraded to Windows 10 and ceased to function. Now Microsoft refuses to let him revert to Windows 7. Microsoft has 30 days to replace his version of Windows 7, after which he demands 300.000.000 Dollars as payment. |

Internet Explorer
Can someone tell me when Microsoft was condemned by UE for forced use of MS-EXplorer ?
I believe it was condemned but when ? Personally I use Firefox but I realise it is extremely difficult to get away from the ignominious MS-EXplorer. I am open to all suggestions. |

Ernesto, I have a very vague memory that the EU forced Microsoft to increase the price of one of the Windows OS's because it included Windows Media Player and that was seen by the EU as against the interests of competition as it was thought no-one buying the Windows OS would bother getting any competing media player.
I don't know if your thinking of that, or if it there was 2 decisions against Microsoft by the EU. It certainly didn't help the buyer as the price of the Windows OS increased. Silly EU.
