Imgbox - firefox

Why does imgbox freeze my OS?, what is it that when i click on imgbox picture link, it takes time to load and in the process slow computer to crawl?, ok my comp is 5/6 years xp, but what is causing slowness, imagevenue no probs, Imageban is sometimes slow to load, but does not effect computer. Thanks.

Same age PC & also XP, friend....exactly the same problem.
Because I run ad-blocker I thought it was dealing with adverts off-screen
so-to-speak...but I grew out of that naivety a few months ago.

Now, if it hasn't loaded within a few seconds, I'm gone....and the advantage of altzheimers is that in 2 minutes I've forgotten what I was curious about...
