Filejoker Captcha tests

Does anyone else have any problems with this? I've spent ages trying to prove I'm not a robot ticking all relevant boxes but it continues to disaplay new captchas even when I'm certain I've ticked them all. Comments apreciated

The cynical will say its their way of saying we're not making enough profit so you have to wait longer - reality is there are to many of their posts about so demand on their servers
is high.

Other hosts like file factory will simply say
- try later we are currently too busy on this server

It really sucks, unlikely other hosters captchas Fj captchas blend in & out slowly and I feel it only works marking them if they are full blended in or the system won't buy it. But if you make a mistake there is not time for a second try and the 2 minute waiting time before the captchas shows sucks too.
Overall I wouldn't mind if such hosters are banned, there are enough hosters that work flawless, after all what is a hoster good for if you can't download from it?

This is an old post but what I do to deal with Capcha's that fade in and out is stay on one box at a time until it no longer needs to be clicked on.

I use to jump from box to box to as the other box faded coming back to that box again if need be. Don't let Fj and these others that use that fading have you jumping all around the capcha that just pissed me off.

As other posters on this thread have already pointed out - FileJoker sucks! And today it seems to have stopped working entirely for free users - the countdown starts OK but then just freezes at "please wait 'n' seconds". I tried several times on different files but I can't get any file to download. FJ was already crap because it imposed a 120 second wait on free users (far more than other hosts) and - worse - the countdown suspended if you switched to another window rather than watching the clock tick down. The count resumed when you switched back to make FJ the active window. FJ really is a total pile of cack!

That's a cute little feature of theirs to annoy you. There is, in fact, a workaround that they have provided: when it pauses, you click the "Download now" button below the countdown, ignore the scolding that you gotta pay for a premium account, and the countdown continues. I've seen that happen occasionally at some small number of seconds to go, and it happens very frequently at 2 seconds.

Another sleazy thing they've been doing recently (at least I don't remember this happening until recently) is to put a lot of cycle-gobbling spin-loops in their javascript for the captcha, or to tell the captcha provider to do that if it's 3rd-party. It used to take half of forever to get through the Filechoker captcha successfully, assuming that it was possible in the first place, and now it takes all of forever, so that the only reasonable thing to do is to chuck it and say "To hell widdit" and find the file that you're after somewhere else if possible. And, of course, to try to persuade uploaders everywhere not to use that sleazy outfit any more.

It does seem that every captcha provider has an option selectable by the web server that invokes it to "Annoy the poor user as much as possible." It's a lot like the customer databases of AT&T and all the Baby Bells and their corporate descendants, for decades now: there's obviously a boolean field in the customer record, settable per-customer by any telco employee and looked at by all call-center operators seeing that record, that says "Make as much trouble as possible for this customer, and give him or her a runaround."

That's interesting. I don't have lots of knowledge about it, but I do have the same feeling. Some captchas are just not possible to resolve, despite I try my best. "Road sign" captchas are just driving me crazy. I'm actually giving up on some downloads.

I don't see any solutions here. There are many enthusiasts, collectors etc who will likely share their stuff on good and friendly hosts. Folks who are trying to earn something will put their stuff somewhere with high pay outs, which often means - please try again to resolve this road sign captcha or pay.

These captchas are just being abused basically.
