I have a simple method to determine cup size based on volume. I stand 
 behind the woman in question and cup her breasts in my hand. After a 
 period of calibration I would soon be able to determine the cup size by
 the amount of flesh fitted within my grip.

I tried your suggestion above on the canteen girl - now I am in the hospital with 2 broken arms. Got any better suggestions?

Well I wasn't thinking off it in that situation. Hope you are not going to sue.
I see it being in a controlled environment and to that end I will be applying to those adverts seen in shop windows. "Experienced Bra Fitter Required".

No I wont "Sue" but I might try Betty or Wanda when I recover full use of my appendages!

Your classification by volume of breast is probably insufficient.
Many breasts would be the same volume yet have entirely different
properties and feel.

Being an Engineer you may want to include further parameters in your breast classifification.

You could, for example, measure:

1st and 2nd Moments of inertia about all axis, Bending moments, Elasticity (before and after values), Poisson's ratio, maleability, softness and hardness (before and after using a penetrometer), fliud flow rates, fluid concentration and generation, rotational and torsional stress and strain values, Surface colour, specrtal absoption,luminosity, opacity, illuminance, surface smoothness, electrical conductivity, stimulus response, tip elongation, bouncability, etc.

Once you have measured all of the above, and other things I cant think of right now, then we can probably build up a universal breast classification chart of all known types and models of naturally occuring and false TITS!

I was on the P3 web site recently and the were two features presented. One was about Sam Cooke's birthday and the other was about poll winner Tracy Neve. In both of these features the girl's bust size was given. One of the girls below has a bust size of 36DD and the other is 30F. Which girl do you think has the most front?



Well Tracy has a cup size of DD and Sam's sup size is F. Surely there must be a mistake.

I remember from scanning catalogues in my youth how the bra and cup size where determined. However, as an engineer/scientist, I always have a problem with this. Two measurements are required, under the bust and across the bust. The difference between the two is converted to the cup size. Here, is my problem, the measurement is taken bra-less (or it defeats the purpose) when the breasts are acted upon by gravity. Surely, no two women's breasts are going to settle in the same way. Some women may have breasts which flatten agains the chest more than others, giving a false reading, I would think. This is not a problem for silicon breasts, as they have the same shape whether a bra is worn or not.
It is my belief that volume should be used as the determining factor in cup size. Anyone out there work in a bra factory? How are bras designed? There must be a volume value for each cup.
