If that's the way all aussies feel then it's time for the U.S. killer satellites to irradiate all of the inhabited surface of Australia with a lethal dose of neutron radiation. This will kill of all the nasty critters and people. Then America could take control of the country and make it our own, and reap all the profits from your industries and your vineyards. The world does not need nutty people. By the way Rottnest Island would not be irradiated so the quokkas would still live.

Let me counteract that claim Exhibit A Exhibit B Exhibit C Exhibit D Exhibit E I could go on to Exhibit Z and then start using Cyrillic letters, then Chinese letters and so on, run out of alphabets and still not covered even 1% of American nut jobs

How do you think we got that way? We got it from the aussies. Americans say, "All aussies are nutcakes. If they can do it, let's do it better!"

There is much discussion of ending the daylight savings routine due to the negative health effects. Recent studies have provided evidence that daylight savings time cost the country billions of dollars every year.

Huff puff more heart attacks (NB, US$434 million; same figure in NYTimes, 2014) vs. reduced road deaths? There's also articles about the impact of dst on spending, where the answer is: minimal/cancelled out by the switch back. 2 (or 1) billion figure here, based on "other calculations". The page it links to is now "gone". |

Don't make em' here,
Thought of buying a Mustang, but that's as far as it got. As for daylight savings, Queensland and WA don't have daylight savings, no big deal, the only real confusion is the states that do have it do it at different times, Tasmania I think generally have it for a bit longer than other states, mainly as being that far south they do have less daylight hours.

South Oz has it's own zone 1/2 hour different from the East coast. Apparently they do have dst--had thought they didn't. No dst in NT.
Here claims Hobart switches back the same time as Sydney/Melb. Last edited by effCup; March 7th, 2018 at 10:53 AM.. |
