Default I hate the homeless

Decades ago, when I use to have to walk over them to enter my place of employment I felt sorry for them.

When the constantly panhandled in front of places where I went to eat, I started to get annoyed by them. (When they called me a "Cheap Chink Bastard" or said "Welcome to my country" I did get a smirk out of it)

Now some have decided to live behind a building we own, make a mess and when we clean up their garbage, they break windows.

F**k the homeless. There are a number of local organizations that feed and provide services to the homeless so more and more are coming into this area. I remember in the 70's and 80's that the local police departments use to get mad at each other for dumping their homeless in neighboring jurisdictions. Now there are way too many to do that. I can understand why family and friends have given up on them as most are mentally ill or on drugs.

Now that it is starting to reach near freezing, I find myself hoping they die in the cold.

Guess I am not going to heaven.

Sorry for the rant.

I always give 'em cigarettes - having no house would be bad but having no fags would be unbearable.

Why do they call you a "cheap Chink bastard"? They always say, " Cheers Big Man" to me.

I am of Japanese ancestry. Non-Asian homeless make those comments to me. Actually, haven't seen any Asian homeless. See Black, White and a few Hispanic homeless.

There were two old homeless (White) who use to sit near where I use to work and laugh all day long. They shit and pissed in their pants and stank to high heaven. People who noticed it would run from them. I asked the police what they could do about it and was told if they took off their pants to defecate they could be arrested for public indecency, but if they just crapped their pants, the authorities couldn't do anything about it. People had to take a few block detour to avoid them.

I hate the homeless.

I have - in Osaka. I gave them cigarettes there too and got a cheery "domo arigato" in return.

The people in Japan treat the homeless like they were invisible .

They used to have more of a system to take care of these people, at least the really mental ones, but that fell by the wayside long ago.

More and more people, less and less resources = more and more homeless. What can you do?

Unless you want to start special camps for them, like Hitler would have.

Some of them act they way they do because they are just all the way down at the bottom and feel any attempt at dignity is just wasted effort. Shitting on the sidewalk is just a way to thumb their noses at a world they think has been shitting on them all along.

If it's your sidewalk you can beat them up or kill them for shitting on it but then you'll probably go to prison and perhaps be homeless too when you come out.

They are starting to spill out along streets and highways in the area.

Yes, we have a lot of them in the Bay Area and in all the California coastal cities. It is warm enough to survive outdoors and there is enough wealth that they can get by. More and more homeless (up to a third) are employed, but cannot afford rents. Lots of expensive condos and luxury apartments have been built while the public housing and single room residential hotels have been torn down. Admittedly the latter were cesspools of crime, drugs, and prostitution, but at least the residents had a place to shower, pee, and poop, and the garbage was hauled away. I saw another article about a family living in a minivan. I guess they go to truck stops or rent a cheap motel room occasionally to clean up. The kids might have been in middle or high school. Maybe they can shower at the gym, but what about Dad? Campsites?

This was another PC failure. Admittedly, the state hospitals for the mentally ill could be abusive, but putting them out on the street wouldn't work. The winos have always been with us, but now we've added the crazies, indigent seniors, and working poor to the mix.

If it were up to me, we would simply commandeer the empty extra homes and condos of the 1% to get them off the street, but I don't make the rules. I'm just grateful that I haven't fallen through the safety net. If I do, I plan to be a very messy suicide in some bank, government office, or maybe a country club green.

I agree about the fact that there are a problem of population, but we also have to say that actually the resources are badly redistributed.

We have to take at least 80% of the wealth of the 1000 richest men of the world to create a more careful society.

I follow several glamour models on instagram, I'm surprised that they often are taken in pictures or make selfies near luxuous cars, boats, buildings.
Rich men are able to spend fortune (in collars, shoes, cars, watches, etc...) for a blow job made by a superb girl, but not one cent to create centers to take care of people in distress.

There was one old homeless lady I remember well. She constantly was pushing her shopping cart on the downtown block where I worked. She had some sort of growths all over her face. She wore multilayer clothing with plastic bags in it to provide insulation. Guessing she was 60 plus but street living had aged her too.

Her son was a police officer who would try to put her in assisted living homes. She always ran away. She was mentally ill. I felt sorry for both of them, probably more for the officer.

I can feel sorry for selected ones, but still not want them around me - I hope.
