Speedy Marie although written for Charles first wife (the first letters of each line in the last verse spell her name) This song personally reminds me of Blondi, who was a junior off road motorbike racing champion.
Not that the 'actress' that played Blondi is dead or anything. She is thriving and happy and never looked better. I just miss the eighties, I guess. Thanks for the mammeries.  |

 Pietro Locatelli was an Italian violinist and composer during the Baroque period. He traveled extensively throughout Italy and Germany and composed some of the greatest violin music ever heard during the Baroque period. He is to the Baroque period what Nicolo Paganini was in the Classical period. Masters of the violin. Locatelli also composed music for other instruments, but he preferred to compose music for the instrument he loved. Unlike most other composers of violin music during this period his concertos were very complex and long. He wrote one very long set of violin concertos that he called "The Art of the Violin" that had 12 concertos in it which lasted over 3 hours long and take up 3 discs. I have that set and others. This particular disc has just 3 violin concertos from that set. |
