I was very interested to read your thoughts about Stalin. I found them very objective. Stalin is often demonized, not wanting to admit that the mechanism of terror would be impossible without a large number of performers. Fukuyama correctly said that no totalitarian or authoritarian regime can function using only violence. Its functioning always requires legitimacy in the eyes of the majority of society. Stalin also had such legitimacy, because Russian society had been authoritarian in its essence for many centuries (interesting notes on this subject were left by Astolphe De Custine). A national leader is always an exponent of national psychology.

I would like to ask all of our Russian friends out there about two obsessive subjects of mine:

I once had to go to a hospital facility for five days based on medication issues. There I met a Russian female (married) named Anna who was from Sochi. Later on, I heard something that is either extremely weird or extremely invasive of my privacy talking about my avatar.

Is Katerina Bardo a celebrity in Russia?

Also, did Kerensky support a "Soviet Union" (union of councils?) like Lenin did?

The most famous models for adults in Russia can be called Luba Love and Mandy Dee, because once they gave interviews for non-pornographic sites. From foreign stars in Russia Sasha Grey is well known. Even people who are not interested in porn know about Sasha.

At the end of his life, Kerensky recognized the Communist revolution as a natural fact and even tried to get permission from the Soviet government to visit the USSR.

Could you please explain to us what is happening wrt COVID-19 in Russia? The infection rate seems to have greatly in the last few days.

We can't really trust the BBC nowadays but here is one report:

From all accounts from my family and friends there it i out of control. Dentists are being retrain as ersatz Doctors because so many of the Doctors are down.

Given that russians generally live pretty unhealthy lifestyles the is wildfire there.

Well. I don’t know what exactly they say on the BBC, what kind of statistics are covered by other Western media regarding the situation in Russia. I will describe my feelings. I live in a city with an (approximately) millionth population. I do not feel any visible signs of panic. In my personal environment there is no one infected. Hospitals are not crowded, people wear protective equipment (the majority), a certain number of cases have been revealed in my city, but there is no disaster. Moreover. I believe that in some cases (this applies to small cities) the statistics are even too high. I will try to explain what this is connected with. In small towns, doctors receive small salaries and deliberately enroll many dying old people in COVID patients. Whether a person has died from COVID or from old age or chronic diseases ... it is impossible to verify. But doctors get substantial surcharges for working with COVID patients (supposedly "patients with COVID). That's the whole trick. In fact, there are no objective statistics who would not have voiced the numbers (including the statistics of Russian or Western media). Considering that that the virus spreads very quickly, it’s completely impossible to track all cases, and the error is very, very significant. As for the statistics for Russia. Statistics for Moscow are likely to be underestimated. This also applies to St. Petersburg and Kazan (the largest cities). But this is It’s not at all with the maliciousness of the Russian authorities, but with the specifics of the infection detection process (these are big cities, many infected are illegal migrants and it is difficult to take them into account in full, multiply this by the inaccuracy of testing, etc., etc.). In small towns (and in cities up to 1-2 million people) the situation is very stable, there is no critical number of infections due to the low mobility of the population. If the situation went out of control, then the Russian segment of the network would have already been littered with video with hundreds and thousands of dying patients. But in fact, nothing of the kind. When the Russian authorities declared a regime of self-isolation, the streets of the cities were empty (I observed this). Regular disinfection was carried out, and schools and universities went to the distance education mode. Now, vital production and institutions are gradually coming to a normal mode of implementation of functions.
The virus is undoubtedly dangerous, but due to this modest crisis, elites around the world try to solve their problems (oil wars, redistribution of markets, reduction of the social base of the middle class, etc., etc.). The virus has become an ideal screen for a crisis that has been brewing for a very long time. The disease itself is not so dangerous as the social consequences caused by it. It is for this reason that it is common for authorities around the world to dramatize the situation. After all, this is the easiest way to hide your mistakes in other areas.
And a couple more considerations in this regard. 1) In Russia, many city dwellers leave for cottages located near their permanent place of residence. The vacation season begins (May-August). This circumstance saves the situation. This feature, in my opinion, made it possible to stop the spread of the virus. 2) Soviet legacy of vaccination. You can scold the Soviet Union as much as you like, but the fact remains. The generally accessible and inclusive system of Soviet medicine made it possible to vaccinate 99 percent of the population. Even in the 90s we were constantly vaccinated against seasonal outbreaks of flu and other diseases (in schools and universities without fail). Constantly monitoring the incidence of the population, monitored all aspects. Now this is not. Around the same market relations. How did Trump respond to the people of Florida? If you want more lung ventilators, buy them at the best price. Cool? And these are the words of the president-capitalist of the market man, brought up on highly doubtful and not entirely justified syntaxes of Hayek-Friedman. And I think - you (we) need to use the Soviet experience of vaccination, mass public medicine. Yes, there will be fewer elite clinics. But greater coverage of socially guaranteed medical care, without regard to the poor person’s presence or absence of health insurance. We even had the assumption that the course of Covid in a mild form is associated with immunity caused by universal vaccination of the Soviet-Russian population against Bacillus Calmette-Guеrin (BCG vaccine). I am not a medical professional and I can’t say whether it is so or not, but there is reason to believe that the forms of immunity developed in the process of regular and universal vaccination of the population could give such an effect.

Big question why do they think using Novochuk on people in other countries or their own is normal behavior. Or shooting down a defenseless Dutch Airliner over Ukraine. And whist we are at it hacking into OUR Covid research program and other peoples general elections!

The big question is not this, but why in the West everyone thinks so linearly. Those. you are quite seriously ready to believe that the "terrible Russian special services" (which, according to the BBC and CNN, are very "Independent Media", hound unwanted people right and left, leaving a "passport" at the crime scene. That is, instead of In order to simply kill someone unwanted in the entrance of a house, in an elevator, shoot or hit him on the head with a hammer, evil agents of the GRU and FSB carry out a complex operation with the strongest poison (the formula of which has long been known to all interested parties without exception). Generally speaking, this is ridiculous. Skripal? Two versions. 1) The British poisoned them to frame the Russians. 2) The Russians were poisoned to eliminate the former agent. OK. Then answer me a few questions. The British special services are so stupid as not to understand that after the poisoning of the Skripals, one of the versions will be the version that the British are substituting the Russians. If the GRU agents did it, then why? Why kill a person of no interest. I would like to remind you that Russia handed over this traitor itself. He was of no interest. All that he knew, already 10 times he would have time to tell Mi6 to the FBI, etc.
Oh yes. This is Putin's revenge. Boo Boo Boo. This is all nonsense. One logical conclusion suggests itself. Skripal was poisoned by representatives of a third party (crime). You see, a person who has worked for the special services for such a long time is overgrown with a bunch of enemies. Powerful and wealthy enemies, quite capable of acquiring the necessary substances. What for? Yes, elementary, Watson. In order to divert suspicion from oneself and observe from the outside how the special services of both countries (Russia and Britain) will accuse each other. OK. We do not know the details of Skripal's biography. He was engaged in investigations, fought against crime, had access to information that could harm specific individuals with a dark past. What the two representatives of the GRU were doing in Salisbury Wely surveillance. Your special services are doing the same with respect to the citizens of interest to them in Russia. It is normal practice to control people with such a past. It is for this reason that they ended up in the videos. They weren't hiding. Nobody would have sent agents to the "case", information about which walks on the Internet. Such operations are performed by people who do not exist according to documents (they do not even have them). And believe me, if it were the Russian special services, Skripal would not have survived. He would have been found a day later in the bathroom with traces of suicide.
In philosophy, there is the concept of "Occam's Razor" - no need to come up with a too complicated way, if everything can be solved with the help of a stranglehold and a hammer, leaving no traces.

Navalny. XD. Mr. Navalny is a small man with a big mouth. He has already been caught on outright lies several times. For example, he lied about his daughter, who allegedly went to Stanford University, because of his "citizenship." political activism. Well yes. Well just awesome Lisa Simpson. At Stanford, the political science department costs $ 160,000 a year for foreigners (This is the tuition fee. Apart from money for campus accommodation). There are very few programs in which students from "poor countries" are accepted. This is literally 1-2 people a year. And what she did (filmed 10 videos with classmates) is clearly not enough to enter one of the most expensive universities in the world. How many of your kids are at Stanford, Ivy League universities. You know, in order to get a grant to work at the University of Tübingen (in the direction of archeology) for one month, I ran through a bunch of authorities, approved a bunch of papers and received an extremely small amount of a grant for an internship. And here everything turns out to be so simple. It was necessary to start a channel on YouTube. Really? Who should believe it.

Poisoning Navalny? Political staging. I'm not against his investigations into corruption. And I'm not defending Putin. But, gentlemen, this is complete nonsense. 1) When the Skripals were poisoned, a total of 20 people were injured. The woman died only by touching his things. And Navalny flew in a plane packed with people, contacted his colleagues. And no one, no one else even felt ailment. Really? OK. 2) Why poison a person in Russia. And then allow them to fly abroad, providing evidence of the poisoning at the disposal of Western experts? Where is the logic? There were hundreds of opportunities to stop its transportation under various pretexts. It was possible to keep him in the hospital and cleanse the body of the notorious Novichok. Why wasn't it done? Because there was no Novichok. 3) Why independent laboratories and scientists who studied the data on Navalny do not want to provide evidence. If they are afraid of fraud on the part of Russia, they can send their specialists, create an interstate group to investigate this case. Russia offered this, but in response we received a refusal without explanation. Submit at least blood tests (just a sample). But no. Silence. We have no reason to open a criminal case in Russia on the fact of poisoning. There is no evidence. 4) Navalny's investigation of his own "poisoning". FSB agents? Where is the evidence? Billings? Oh yes billingcat. I completely forgot. This is, allegedly, a company created by an unemployed Englishman capable of processing gigantic amounts of data obtained from open access. But that's bad luck. Here WikiLeaks recently published data on the billingcat's ties with the British military department. Well, that's a lie, of course. You shouldn't pay attention to this, of course. And in general, these are the machinations of Putin. Although this does not negate the fact that, unlike WikiLeaks (which published compromising evidence on everyone), billingcat acts in an extremely targeted and selective manner.
They are not interested in the political assassinations that are shaking Colombia. Western media are not interested in this at all. But they are showing a morbid interest in Russian affairs in different parts of the world. Exclusively to the affairs of Russia. Wow. Coincidence. And where did they get the data on the movements of people named by FSB agents. From open sources? My friends, let's not argue. Let's conduct an experiment. Try to track the movements of at least your neighbor over the last month using illegal databases. Forward. Share with us the results of your "investigation". Show that it's even possible. a) It is necessary to find people who will sell you this data and will not deceive, and this is very difficult b) It is generally illegal even by international standards. And where are these bases? Navalny did not publish these databases. There is no source. Do you know why? Because such an array of data for such a long period of time can only be possessed by ... special services. If you believe that you can process 10s sites, 100s bills and videos to get this kind of results. One or two, 10 people) You are naive, my friends. You need to know where this data is stored. Nobody would substitute selling them. Even if you find someone who can sell them to you, you must know a specific array of data, a specific mobile operator for a specific person. You should already have some data about him on hand. What exactly are you going to order? Simply put - it's a huge array of which you only need a part. Such work can be done for years, purposefully accumulating, hierarchizing data on the movements of thousands of people over the years. And only special services are capable of such work. Leave all your romantic tales about "incorruptible fighters for the truth" for your illiterate layman.
5) And now the main question against that background. Who is Maria Pevchikh. Why is she named head of investigations at the Anti-Corruption Foundation. Although before that it did not appear anywhere. This name was not included in any investigations. She is the daughter of a man engaged in all sorts of biological developments. Maybe gentlemen, the British, pay attention to this fact. The man studied in england. The man rode on grants from Sos to the Queen of Britain, and there is even evidence that she was trained through the special services. As a citizen of the Russian Federation, I have only one question for our special services. Why is this English scum walking around our country, and not sitting on the Lubyanka and not spitting bloody teeth, giving out passwords, appearances and addresses.
She and her lies had to be taken back at the Tomsk airport with a jar of a poisonous substance. She had to be taken back in Tomsk and split until the last tooth was lost. Fortunately, our comrades colonels still know how to split all kinds of James Bond with the help of two blows in the face (from the foot) and wringing the hand until the pulse is lost.
I think many new facets of this case would open up. And one more English spy scum in Russia has become less.
