Gareth Southgate has denied claims of a racial divide within the England U21 squad.
"There's no problem whatsoever", he said, "Our black players are just as useless as our white ones". |

Diego Maradona has decided to stand as a candidate for the Fifa presidency to replace Sepp Blatter, the Uruguayan journalist and author Victor Hugo Morales has said.
“He told me he was going to run for president of Fifa and authorised me to inform,” Morales posted in Spanish on his Twitter feed. “‘I am a candidate’ were the two words Diego Maradona used to answer me when I consulted him about the nomination for the presidency of Fifa,” he added in another tweet.

FC Lusitans of sunny Andorra for our European adventure in the losers cup. The home leg might prove interesting due to a strike by Aslef drivers on the Tube.
If we get past the mighty Lusitans then its a trip to either Malta or Armenia, but lets not start counting any chickens yet. |

Game over. Ok I'm eating my words on this one.
But in all honesty for most of this match Norway were the better team. So far England have yet to keep a cleam sheet which is worrying. Canada in the QF's. Not an easy match. At the London olympics in 2012 Canada beat us 2-0 in the QF's. USA to beat Colombia.

USA defeats Colombia 2-0, but still isn't "clicking on all cylinders". I'm beginning to believe that they won't - that they will survive until they have to meet Germany in the semis.
One of the only 4 comments (as of my posting) on this article thanks the paper for it's excellent coverage of women's sports. Unfortunately, that is not the case in general, as This Article at FAIR demonstrates. |

We lost 1-0 to Canada in a Friendly in May in preparation for the WC. And, Canada seem to have stage fright half the time. If we can remember the how we played second half v Norway, we stand a good chance of a 1-1 Last edited by Meini Hirion; June 23rd, 2015 at 07:31 PM.. Reason: Correcting altzheimer thing... |
