Default AT LAST

The KING is back!!! (King Billy Davies)

Thank God! ... common sense at last!!!

Can this great club now concentrate on WINNING on the PITCH!

Christ! From being European Champions (twice!) we have now become simply a laughing stock. These owners have got to realise that, although it may be a 'little toy' for them, it means 'the world' to the fans and followers of our great club.

Now stop trying to interfere and let Billy get on with the job (please!).

just hit on a clip of L'pool away at Barnsley, might have been
an fa cup tie ? , it was wild , guys running on the pitch and being rugby tackled by L'pool players, Incy got one,
The ref went off for 5 mins to try and calm things down.
McManaman got the winner as L'pool won 3.2

Has anyone seen the football stamps that the royal mail have released for the 150th anniversary of the FA? Call me cynical but as its the FAs 150th why are no English players included? And why are they all players from the last 50 years?? So Kevin Keegans inluded but not Sir Tom Finney!!!! And also no Billy Wright.

I don't mind the players from the rest of the UK as they all played in England, but I am not sure what John Barnes is doing in such illustrious company.

Barnes was a good player, not a great one. Mind you Carlton Palmer played 18 times for England.

Let's be honest, it looks like a very suspect example of tokenism. Barnes was an outstanding LFC player but apart from the very start of his England career, was a very ordinary international regularly failing to live up to his club form.

If we're talking about UK born players that were great league players then the likes of Rush, Dalglish, Ian Wright (brilliant for Arsenal, nothing for England), Bremner, Edwards, Matthews, Lofthouse, Butcher, Giggs, Jennings and Campbell would warrant consideration. In fact there's apparently never been a decent UK fullback to judge by that selection, which would come as a surprise to Ashley Cole, whereas Greavesie is apparently a shoo-in?

Perhaps it would have been good to have considered some of the foreign players that have graced the FA? Oops, sorry I forgot about the Premier League era, a tad unfortunate, how silly of me. Probably a step too far - Cantona, Henry, Bergkamp, Brady, Blanchflower, Ardiles, McGrath, Schmichael (permit me to be be completely biased and include Yeboah )...add your own...

At the end of the day it's an apparently ill-considered selection - it would be interesting to get a definitive view as to why those were the players selected - it's not as if they even manage to comprise 1-11?
