When clubs are allowed to run at a loss it undermines everyone else in the league that isnt All the levels have the unequal playing field You'd think any governing body would want all its members to be running sustainably Apparently not in football About their financials - from losses of 195,000 to regular 2Mil Wage budget 500,000 - paid 1.8mil Rather than the sugar daddy taking the hit the club has been raising funds via share issues Reminds me of an energy business that asked all their employees if they'd like their super to be re-invested in the business - they naively agreed in the intoxicating good times and eventually the business went bad and they lost everything. 2015 - How can Forest Green Rovers be allowed to carry on losing millions of pounds? http://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/co...ail/story.html |

I think it's a fair assessment. City are not yet a big club on the world stage. They have to win more domestic titles, perform up to their abilities on a consistent basis and start challenging for the CL every season. If they do that, in 5-10 years they may be thought of as a big club. But if Pep doesn't win the EPL next season I think he really will be out.

I wonder whether the owners are (and this is a relative term) happy with top four but brought Pep in purely to aim at the Champions League. Given that their best keeper is Angus Gunn, who doesn't even make the bench, their defence looks completely rudderless without Kompany, then add the frankly ludicrous scenario which might just see Aguero sold, they are a long way from being the best team anywhere else apart from Manchester. Just about.

I think he is right though as many Munich fans feel that he wasn't a success at their club even though he won the league 3 times. That was expected as a bare minimum for the coach. The DFB Pokal was also expected or at least an appearance in the final. No CL wins mean he failed in his job to many Munich fans and he even admitted they had the right to say it. I think though to be fair to him he has come in and tried to change the style of the team and that will take a while to get right. The league is also different here in terms of the physical side and injuries to players he may not always be used to. No winter break, crappy grounds, media pressure and such like all take a while to get used to. So whilst he has failed at City in some ways he may be building for the future. If he wins sod all next time around though you can bet he will be off to China or the US for his next job as he wont be at City. |

Dear Mr Wenger just to refresh your memory, were we on holiday on the 3rd of December and if we were why did you not allude to it in your post match comments?
