Chelsea are, have been and always will be "The Pensioners", especially as it winds two of my cousins up, mum's side of the family. Dad's side were all and still are Hammers. |

I'm just a little too depressed to say anything about the Villa right now. One thing I will say, is that I still don't understand how Benteke was the only player to be sent off. To say that I wasn't impressed by the referee, is an understatement.
On another subject: Greed is Good League, sorry, Champions League qualification. A purely hypothetical question about something that is unlikely to happen: Supposing that at the end of this season, the top four Premier League places were taken by the following teams: Southampton, Stoke City, Hull City and Swansea City. How do you think that the PL, UEFA and Sky would fix it for the usual Media darlings to get into next season's Champion's League? |

City had valid penalty appeal turned down, crap weak referee. Smalling will (hopefully) be shown the door at the end of the season, he's consistent that's for sure......consistently average. I've never rated him or the other dummies who we employ as defenders. |

Elliott Lee who joined Southend on loan last Friday is back with us today after pulling up with an injury 35 minutes into his first training session.
Awaiting the outcome of a medical examination, to asses the extent of the injury. |

Okay let's get one thing cllear. We ALL know that Liverpool aren't going to win tonight, you can probably get good odds on that, but the only possible outcome would be a miraculous draw. If that happens, we can still get second place. If not, then it is the Europa League for us. Whatever happens I cannot watch tonight so I will listen to the commentary instead-I don't think I could stand the suspense!! Good luck to Arsenal tonight btw.

The odds on Liverpool winning tonight are probably the same as for Theo Walcott staying injury free for the rest of the season. I think Tiny Little Theo is a better player when he's injured, the same goes for Andy Carroll.

In a small far away corner of the galaxy, known as 'Unlikely', I find myself...sympathising with Neil Warnock. Palace should have had a penalty last night in the first minute. The clear consensus was that the ref didn't give it 'because it was too early in the game'.
I hadn't realised that the laws of the game were on some sort of sliding scale based on the maturity of the match in question. So presumably, Palace should have started with 12 men , had one of their outfield players stuff the ball up his jumper whilst handing off Sunderland defenders before throwing it into the opposition net. As long as it was early in the game, presumably it wouldn't have mattered. In my naivity I always thought the laws applied from the first whistle to the last. Pundits or officials - I can't decide who's worst. |

officials annoy smug managers - plus
pundits only offer opinions - neutral - when they get it wrong - plus bad decisions will keep on occuring and the managers will keep using them as excuses for unwanted results would be better if they said nothing and worked towards persuading the powers that be to give the officials what we all see - the instant replay from every angle - if they want the right decision every time. i suspect none will do it because all teams cheat during matches if officials are expected to be perfect then the players should stop cheating as many of them do in a variety of ways take the the 2 leg asian afc club final won 1-0 by western sydney the saudi club al hilal is claiming no less than 6 missed penalties and suggesting match fixing http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/leagu...-league/latest |

Well it sounded as if Real Madrid was planning a massacre but they weren't at the races, even with Bale on later. Liverpool played really well and yes okay Real scored but it wasn't the total walkover everyone was expecting and the team selection was odd to say the least resting 6 main players. Gerrard, Coutinho, Balotelli, Johnson, Sterling and one other. Gerrard, Coutinho and Sterling did come on as subs and managed to keep Real at bay. There is still a chance of qualifying second but it has to be all out next time. Bring on Chelesa Saturday.

Jamie Redknapp is one of the worst, always believes he is right and respects no one. I have lost count the number of times he interrupts others and talks over them. |
