Ten albums ... ONLY ten?!?
 This is embarrassing--I don't think I can even name my ten favorite genres of music!  Well, I'll hit the high points (with some major gaps) and give this very tentative list. It includes 3 live recordings, 1 hard rock, 1 symphonic, 1 jazz, 1 folk ("world music"?), and about 5 "concept" albums that helped shape modern music. I can't possibly put these in an order, too!  Bernstein in Berlin Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 Eagles Hotel California Thomas Dolby The Flat Earth Billy Squier Don't Say No Neil Diamond Hot August Night Alan Parsons Project Tales of Mystery and Imagination Dave Gannett Tubas From Hell Great Big Sea Great Big CD Pink Floyd The Wall Beatles Abbey Road Lots are missing. Im with Electile Disfunction on this- my taste may not be as varied but to pick just 10 rock albums is giving me headache.
To make amends for my behavior i noticed Appetite posted- thought I'd put the original cover up. Got this myself on dear old vinyl!  It was banned for the content so I hope it doesn't break any rules here. Delete if necessary. Cheers. |
