I said some mate, I never actually mentioned nor alluded to your goodshelf. I don't mind if people point out any mistakes I make, that is only natural but some take it upon themselves to point out Every little thing which annoys me - you're either right or wrong in my book, no need to labour the point. You obviously know a lot more, I only put what I remember, which as I get older is getting to be less and less-however I use a trigger system,a word or phrase, which seems to 'trigger' a memory or event. Thank you for your input on this.

The only three-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is Eric Clapton; with the Yardbirds, Cream and as a solo artist.
Crosby, Stills and Nash is the only group to have all it's members inducted twice; all as CSN, Crosby with the Byrds, Stills with Buffalo Springfield and Nash with the Hollies. Stills is the only person to be inducted twice on the same night, in 1997. And occasional bandmate Neil Young is also a two-time inductee, with Buffalo Springfield and as a solo artist.

Then we'll see if we can combine the two............ Did you know that Horatio Nelson is buried in Cardinal Wolsey's tomb? Wolsey planned the Italian made tomb for himself, but after he fell from grace with the King the tomb laid unfinished at Windsor until Nelsons death in 1805. Better now???

The news of the death of Nelson was brought to Britain by HMS Pickle.

And Nelson himself was brought home in a barrel of rum.
Now there was a drink with plenty of body to it!

I was always under the impression that Nelsons body was brought back in a barrel of brandy, and that during the voyage people put straws in to the barrel to drink it.
When Nelson was dying he was supported by a Royal Marines Warrant Offficer. Nelsons blood dripped on to his uniform and tarnished the second button. Eve since the second button on a Royal Marine Warrant Officers tunic have been tarnished.

From History to Food.
A raw carrot is still alive when you eat it! Half the food produced in the world is left to rot. KUNGA cake is an East African food made from millions of crushed midges. And the Krill eaten by a blue whale every day weigh as much as 40,000 cheeseburgers (and if anyone can verify that they've actually eaten that many cheeseburgers let us know!) (Taken from the usual book 1,339 QI Questions to make your Jaw Drop)

Did you know(and unless you are Australian you wouldn't necessarily know this) that Australian batsman refer to a SIX as a Dorothy? Apparently it is named after an American author Dorothy Dix http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Dix
Source: Brain of Britain 2014 question "Why do Australian batsmen refer to a six as a Dorothy.?"
