A Perfect Day
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Perfect_Day_(2015_film) Benicio del Toro and Tim Robbins are in this film about aid workers in the Balkans trying to get a dead body out of a well - being stopped by a number of stupid reasons. Slow moving film that just seemed to paint the efforts of aid workers as useless - much as the UN troops are called Useless Nations troops. Depressing and not worth watching in my mind.

Just finished a film called Tunnel Rats. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunnel_Rats_(film)
I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if I'd really known who was who at any point. On to I.D 2 Shadwell Army.

Well, I'm actually trying to finish with the current ImDB Top 250 movies.
http://www.imdb.com/chart/top In the last week I saw Ben-Hur - I was really surprised and liked a lot Your name - Japanese animation movie with a amazing story and great drawings. Like Stars on Earth - Indian movie about a child that struggle to learn in an education system not fit for him. Paper moon - Ryan and Tatum O'Neal in a movie about a con man in the great depression that pair with a girl (that could or not be his kid) in his lucrative business. Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans - Silent movie that 90 years later is hard to see comparing how movies and script work today but that has one of the more common plots on hundreds of movies that were made till these days. Ma ma - A woman and her fight against cancer. Love Medem movies because of his twists and the natural portrait of their characters. |

Now I enjoy a good war film. I've seen plenty of over the top films and enjoyed them. Yesterday I watched Lone Survivor a supposedly based on true story. Never have I seen such a gung-ho, over the top piece of bullshit. It was shameful. The only thing that saved it from complete embarrassment was an emotional ending. When will hollywood stop screwing with interesting stories to create shit.

You as all our Fellow Forum Fellas ,are more than welcome Teaky
Frontal lobes crossed it remains and unchanged , for the longest possible time !. Right now (And with no pop ups or buffering) am checking out , This A mercenary used to dispatching whomever he`s paid to, finds himself instead handed a contract that takes him to Tasmania . Where his paymasters expect him to track down a nearly extinct tiger whose genetic code holds the secret to a dangerous weapon. Only thing is they didn't merely hire him to do this task. They hired backup. No that isn't a spoiler (Heaven forfend) as we learn it from near the get go. Yet the main plot isn't in fact the main plot. Hey you`ll understand when you watch it. Am currently forty one minutes in and completely emotionally invested in what happens to Dafoe , the fatherless family he`s had no other choice than to lodge with and the tiger. True it has "Shane" overtones , yet so what. The direction and editing is bang bang bang concise and tight. Acting excellent. Script believable. But most of all there`s tension. Which is why I give it a deserved

Darkest Hour ( 2017 ) - I found this a brilliant Film about Winston Churchill and the events of May 1940 - it has starring Gary Oldman ( as Churchill ) ,Ronald Pickup ( as Neville Chamberlain ) and Stephen Dillane ( Game of Thrones ) as Lord Halifax
The acting was superb and the film was pretty accurate historically I took a photo of the British Board of Film Classification that you get before every film in the Uk , using the phone camera to prove I saw the film today , and chuckled when a little foreign jobsworth ( from Sweden ? ) accused me of going to record the whole film...- to which I replied , sure pal , I would be able to do that on my crappy Mobile - |
