Ok so i grant you there are far far far more intelligent , attractive or valuable dogs out there. But credit where it`s due, this bitch chases after bones (Providing there is a journalist nearby) like no other, in fact if the "Price" was right i`m sure she`d do her own brother . [/COLOR]

It's what I call a "mastiff". I thought they were all more or less what I saw in my life, namely short and heavily built. But I didn't know how many breeds/races of mastiff there are (I know better now), so I just posted the 'best pics' I found without discrimination

I actually prefer cats(I was going to put pussy but thats too obvious!). But when it comes to dogs I prefer the larger breed such as Akitas, they always remind me of Bears. I have been to both Newfoundland and Labrador but didnt see either breed there. But in Ottawa I saw a Newfoundland taking a woman for a walk, boy are they big!

[COLOR=#004B00 !important]I've had beagles and dalmations but my favorite dog is a rhodesian ridgeback. Mine is a female named Penny and I adopted her from a local shelter in 2004. She turns 10 on the second of February.

They were bred to keep lion at bay until the hunter could move in to make the kill. As you can see in this picture they are quite muscular.

The Rhodesian Ridgeback's distinguishing feature is the ridge of hair along its back, running in the opposite direction to the rest of its coat.

Who doesn't love puppies?

They grow into handsome animals. Males weigh up to 90 pounds while females reach about 70 pounds. Penny weighs 60.

They require daily exercise, socialization and lot's of attention!

They are stars in the art world and on the big screen.

Penny is less than motivated today since it's snowy and 20 degrees.

I posted these earlier this month and they were deleted when the system crashed. So here they are again. Buddy was about two or three months old when I took these. He is about one year and three months old now. The folks I got him from said he is a brindle retriever but I think he may be a pit bull terrier.
