Yeah its odd because he talked about how "we" need to plan for the summer and how "we" need to improve only the other day. Yet a couple of days later he has quit. He also makes a big point about what its not about which would suggest that maybe it is actually about that.

It may be that he's simply tired of being the Red Adair of football. After the England fiasco his reputation was shot, so he would have been eager to take the Palace job and restore it. He's done that now, but he probably knows that that is the only sort of job he's ever going to get in the future.

He's in his 60s, has bags of money, has no more achievable ambitions, so why not retire and enjoy life?

Chances are he'll get bored and come back at some stage though, especially if some club in desperate need waves a few million quid in his direction.

You must be a Liverpool fan. Obvious penalty - defender was pulling Bamford back. I can understand the referee missing it, as there was another player in his line of sight, but the assistant must have seen it - he is either corrupt, a coward or incompetent.

Bit of bitterness on here last couple of days lol, was well deserved we were looking like title rivals to Chelsea before Coutinho got injured in December.

If Jurgen the German had jumped up and down a bit more on the touchline Liverpool would definitely have won the league.
