I feel the same when it comes to national team. I do not believe in the players or the manager these days alongside as well the FA itself. It appears they want fans to give a fuck about the team, show our support, back them 100% and yet the players don't seem to give a shit. Why should any fan care about the national side when half the team selected doesn't?

Former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard has retired, bringing to an end a 21-year professional career. The 38-year-old, who spent last year with New York City in Major League Soccer in the US, announced his decision on social media on Thursday. Lampard made 649 appearances for Chelsea and won 106 England caps.
I can't say I am his greatest fan but at the same time he does have some impressive stats from his time in the game. He is only behind Giggs and Barry in PL appearances. He has the most goals, 41, from outside the box. he is also the 4th highest goal scorer in the PL. Not bad for a midfielder. The only thing that is a negative in regards to his career is like Gerrard he failed to bring club form consistently to the national side. |

It looks like Lampard wants to follow Gerrard and move into coaching which is unusual for English players of their reputation. Most choose the more simple and often more lucrative option of punditry or commentating. Both have a lot of knowledge to pass on which surely can only be a good thing for young players.
Also we have a distinct lack of English managers who played at the top level. So if they are good enough and not based only on reputation hopefully we may see them managing a top club down the line. |

Palace would appear to be doomed 0-4 down at home to Sunderland at HT.
We are winning at Southampton. Will it last? |

I dreamed that West Ham beat Southampton 3-2 last night. Quite why I don't know (currently 3-1).
Chelsea beating Arsenal and now it looks like their title. Liverpool having another away disaster, 0-2 down. Everton 5-2 up and in good form. Could Everton yet crash the top four?
