Could Luis Suarez be some kind of...werewolf?

He bites Chiellini who starts scoring. Ivanovic also knocks in his share of goals. Does anyone remember who Suarez bit in Holland? Maybe he should be a transfer target for anyone looking for a striker

I don't agree with this. Chairmen want success above everything and they'll appoint someone they think will bring it. That usually means someone with a track record. Also someone who can gain the respect of the players (or put the fear of God into them). The high-profile ex-England players who've gone straight into management have mostly failed dismally, of whatever colour. The best way for any ex-footballer to get into management is to start at the bottom and get coaching experience, working their way up. That way they're credible candidates. If the Rooney Rule forces chairmen to interview people they would otherwise not have considered it will just force someone else off the shortlist and still won't get anyone a job.

There's still racism on the terraces but I doubt there's much elsewhere in football. There are all sorts of reasons why it's difficult for young black players to get a manager's job, but fast-tracking certain people (what makes them more deserving than anyone else?), quotas or Rooney Rules are the wrong solutions. Are you as a player going to respect someone who only got his job because he was black and got fast-tracked? And why should club owners be forced to appoint someone they don't think is suitable and risk his club's future for what will basically be someone else's experiment?

And, since Greg Dyke supports the Rooney Rule, you just know it's a load of cobblers, good PR but otherwise useless.

[QUOTE=buttsie;3091688

Rodgers needs to find a new outlet man for that first pass from defence to midfield

Groom someone to become the next Gerrard or perish[/QUOTE]

They are calling Jordan Rossiter the new Gerrard but if he is not given first team experience it could be years before the next new Gerrard is found-that said of course the Academy found Sterling and Ibe and others so there are players for the new generation, it is just knowing when to give them first team try-outs. I always rated Andre Wisdom at the back with Martin Kelly but they have been loaned out or sold which is a mistake to my mind.

Mind you, what I saw of it, I've never seen Szczesny play anywhere near that level for Arsenal.
Superb performance....Strange.

Absolute shocker of a result for Germany. Once again, Kroos does toss all in a game. The most overrated player I have seen in a German shirt for a long time. The retirements of Lahm and Mertesacker have had a negative effect and the persistent injuries to Reus, Schweinsteiger and Khedira are a concern. Kramer had a decent enough game. I thought Germany's best player tonight was Hummels.

Priceless! This is for a team that's just won the World Cup! This is normally the sort of post we see after watching another dreadful England performance! I guess we don't have a monopoly on this sort of thing...

This talk of playing prem league games over in New York or down
in Dubai is a bit of a red herring.

The next move will be ... The Euro Super League...
ie the top 4 UK clubs hi tail it out of the Prem League to join
a super elite European Super League and instead of playing the likes of Hull and Blackburn on a freezing weekend in January, they will be boarding private jets
to play Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris SG, Juventas, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.

A closed league of 16 elite teams whose weekly games will have the pay for view guys drooling at the mouth.

The Prem League was bankrolled by Sky TV, but they are becoming history as even bigger players emerge like BT with even more dosh than Murdoch.

If BT and a consortium of other big players get together they
could then intice the elite clubs of Europe into a whole new ball game.

Murdoch will not be able to compete , he will be left with a Prem League minus the top glamour clubs...... it could even see the end of sky tv
as the punters migrate to BT and the Euro Super League.

How long before a top footballer is getting half a million a game ?
that could become a reality when the ... Euro Super League ... kicks off !

If they do then they can sod off as far as I'm concerned. I won't watch it or pay for it. I find the current make-up of the Champions League and Europa League boring enough as it is, not a patch on the old knock-out competitions where competing and winning actually meant something (more than money).

The latest wheeze is a suggestion by Man U (sorry, I'm not bashing them deliberately, but it was their idea) to make supporters walking billboards (unpaid of course) by sticking sponsors on replica shirts. It's been knocked back apparently but the fact it was even suggested just makes me sick.

The pursuit of money is a cancer eating football. The only cure is to stop forking out our hard-earned cash.

I would be perfectly happy to see a reformed league with the lower 2/3 of the Prem merged with the top Championship clubs to form a new First Division. The millionaires can all go off and play somewhere on their own and we can get back to watching a proper competition.

It doesn't make sick but My God,That's a new low,Charging fans upwards of fifty quid to advertize the Club's sponsors ? For sheer unmitigated gall,EPL clubs take some beating,Unlike in European Club Competitions....

Remember G14/G18, like the arrival of the premier League it will all be about who is prepared to stump up the cash.

The only people to blame here are money hungry Chairman.
