imagebam upload causing browser crash

I'm trying to upload multiple images to imagebam and when it generates the intital thumbnail previews before clicking upload it puts a huge strain on the CPU and more often than not crashes the browser, It's the same on Windows 10 and Linux and multiple machines

otherwise a very good host - does anyone else experience this and have an alternative way to upload to imagebam?

I've not had a problem - what happens when you copy a large folder of pics and your PC generates the thumbnails for that, does it still struggle then?
Might be a PC issue rather than Imagebam?

Are you running out of disk space that means it's swapping to and from memory a lot?

the issue only happens with imagebam. all other hosts are fine and there is no problem thumbnailing on the PC itself
