The bad news is that he lives in winters of snow and ice, unless they visit his Brazilian wife's relatives after the Super Bowl. BTW, is wife is a famous supermodel who makes way more money than he does.

I hear that he is always there for his old teammates. I doubt that he gives a damn about what any of us think.

A significant AFC match up for me, as my single favourite NFL player played for both teams. That's right ultimatewarlord, my favourite player is a former patty.

Fred Taylor.

I just loved the way ran. Pounding and banging in there! He gave heaps of dlinemen bruises!

Than Victoria Secret and Vogue superstar Gisele Bundchen? I think not.

It is easy to overestimate the impact of NFL football. FIFA, cricket, and the NBA have more of a worldwide following. More importantly half of all human beings are women, who care much more about fashion than sport. The loyalties of teen boys are easily swayed by women in lingerie, too.

Hmm. I suppose I'm not aware of the presence of both worldwide. Id put money that Tom is better known down here. I suppose also that I've never rated Gisele. Then again, down here, Miranda Kerr would dwarf both of them.

Edit: Mike Vrabel being hired as HC of the Titans means I'll dislike them just as much (if not more) than the Patriots. (Yep. You read that correctly ultimatewarlord)

I'm five days away from celebrating 32 ears as a Pats fan. When I got up at 1.30 in the morning to listen to another loss during the 1990 1-15 season I could never have envisioned this.

That you all hate me.

Ah, well. I can live with it.

Every time the Pats are favorites in games like this, I convince myself it'll all go wrong. As I said, part of me would love to see Doug Marrone in the Super Bowl. But I have to stick with my guys. Pats v Vikings would be my choice but I think it's a step to far for the Super Bowl hosts.

Jacksonville vs NEW ENGLAND

Minnesota vs PHILADELPHIA

If you have a team in the fight I wish you luck. The 1996 AFC Championship remains my favorite game because I knew that I'd see my team in the Super Bowl for the first time as a dedicated fan.

RE. Mike Vrabel. The Pats best ever free agent and I won't thank thank that post either MB.

My favorite ever player. Ben Coates.

I said of the Titans-Patriots game, I didn't see Mike Mullarkey outcoaching Bill Bellichick, and I say the same about Doug Marrone. However, Tom Coughlin is the Director of Football Operations for the Jaguars, so we shall see. I like the Eagles in the NFC Title game, so I'm predicting a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX.

I'm really torn over who to root for in the championship games. My attitude towards the Patriots is well known and normally I won't root for the team that beat my team, so I wouldn't root for the Jaguars. Here's another problem I have; at the bottom of it, I'm an AFL partisan. So part of me says I have to root for the Patriots because it means the AFL wins over the NFL.

That also affects how I feel about the teams in the NFC. As an AFL partisan, I shouldn't root for the Eagles because they're "original" NFL. And Minnesota was supposed to be the 6th original franchise of the AFL, but at the first AFL Draft meeting, they jumped to the NFL. So I shouldn't root for the Vikings.

It comes down to this. My favorite color is green and the first football equipment I got, actually the kind they put the warning on to not use in actual play (but I did anyway), was Eagles gear. So I hope the Eagles win it all.

Good luck gentlemen!

BTW, when Minnesota bolted for the NFL, the AFL decided to hit back at the NFL and placed a franchise in the Bay Area, so the Oakland Raiders were born.

Not sure why you hate Mike Vrabel, but he is a former Patriot, Steeler, and Chief. He played and coached at Ohio State (which has now become the Ohio State University as opposed to the 23 campuses of the California State University System, most of which don't play Division I football) The word is that he is GM Jon Robinson's guy and extension discussions with Mike Mularkey were just PR.

This should help you hate on Tom Brady while waiting for the game to start.
