Post-crash true-up where and how--advice needed

This is something I've been contemplating since this summer...

I've been fastidiously collecting photos and videos for a handful of classic models on the site over the past few years. Was pretty bummed out by the imagevenue database corruption among other events. It occurred to me that I could post a link in their thread to some kind of true-up that would 'bring someone up to speed' on all the stuff that had been posted for her pre-crash.

Now, I didn't sort their photos according to VEF postings so a model's material was organized according to each photo session, regardless of when it was posted, or what magazine it was in. There's almost certainly for each model material that had never been posted here also. The amount of photos for some models are quite large, so simply leveraging picture site (like imagevenue) to post is a non-starter. On top of the fact I don't want to step on the toes of the original VEF posters. I also don't want to use a rapidshare-type file hoster, as those tend to disappear after few months--and I don't want to pay $$ to sustain this project.

The only options that come to mind are newsgroup (NZB), or torrents. Neither of which I see on VEF. And the point, of course, is to provide those VEFers who encountered lost pics and vids for some girls on the forum a way to get them back all at once.

First question is: should I even bother?
Second is how would you recommend I do this?

I'm looking for any advice I can get from veterans and mods etc. Don't mind giving back to VEF, as this forum has been awesome over the years. At the same time, I don't want to spend hours and hours trying to pick apart what had been posted, lost etc. I'd like to just offer what I have in a big zip/rar or folder.

Notice that I didn't list what models I have--as I don't want to cause a storm of requests, especially since there may not be any practical way to pull this off.

First question: that's your call. If you can contribute material that has not been posted to VEF or that has disappeared that will of coures be appreciated. Provided the material complies with the rules of course.

Second question: Usenet links and torrents are not allowed at VEF. The quickest way would be to use a file host.
