Mass Renamer

Hi gent´s

While surfing the inet i found some pics. They call after download :

I need a tool with can remove the numbers of that pictures. Any ideas ?

I second this recommendation, I've been using BRU for years and have built a library of rename sets to handle a lot of things like image host renaming. It is hard to over-state how useful it can be.

I've used ReNamer for about a year for art pictures: it's free, easy to use, and does everything I've ever needed.

Another excellent tool that does a great deal more than bulk renaming is total commander. http://www.ghisler.com This is a great overall file manager utility.

there's a much simpler way to do this, without using any programs.
Let's say that I have 200 pictures of Marilyn Monroe, each with a non
related file name. What I'd prefer, is for each to be named the same,
but in sequential order. Basically ......wanting to do what a mass file renamer
would do. To do this without that program, much quicker, and without the
need of hunting down and installing a file renamer and installing it. Here's
what I'd do with those MM pics. First, highlight all of the photos in the
folder where they're located. Then, type in the name that you want them
to have.....ie.. "Marilyn Monroe". After you're finished typing in the name
change, click anywhere within your folder, the same as you might renaming
any file......and viola! Each and every pic in that folder, is now renamed,
Marilyn Monroe (1).jpg, Marilyn Monroe (2).jpg, etc etc.

I might disagree, because this gives you

bla(1)
Bla(10)
Bla(2)
Bla(20)

If the pictres were in any order before they ar enot afterwards.
AcdSee, Total Comander, Irfan View are the tools of choice here,
because you can say Select all, Rename Series , Marylinn #### ,
Whta gives you Marylinn 0001,0002.....9999 in totally perfect order.
