The C-word

First let me say this is the best, well moderated forum there is.

Now about the c-word. I used it once and my post got erased. No problem, no argument, rules are rules. I would like to point out that it can be used in two ways: 1) as a noun, every woman has one. 2) as an adjective to describe a nasty person. I appreciate all of the women whose images on on this site and would never use it as an adjective. As a noun, I am really tired of referring to it as a pussy and vagina or vulva seems so clinical.

Any comments?

Also what are other acceptable designations for a woman's vagina?

Oh dear. I think the c-word is now pretty much solely a term for a truly awful, toxic, nasty, vicious female. I think that to use it as a term for a vagina is nowadays an insult to the vagina.

Kind of like the word bitch. It's pretty much solely a term for the same woman described above. So even though bitch is a technically correct term for a female dog, to call a female dog that is pretty much an insult to the female dog.

Hope that makes sense.

It's worth mentioning that in the UK the C word seems to be a mild general insult, in somewhat common usage - Please correct me if I'm wrong about that, Brits - while in the US it's more of a deadly insult. You call a woman that in the US and oh boy you better look out.

I prefer either twat or the "c" word. One word I do hate is "pussy", which sounds really lame and reminds me more of cats than something rude.

It's still considered an extremely offensive word here, especially when directed at a person. However, like the "f" word it's steadily becoming less so over time. I mean, I've even heard politicians and toffs saying the "f" word on occasions!
