I frequently see catwalk models wearing stockings but it seems to have no influence with the majority, so I'm not so sure. Also seen a few pop idols wearing them i.e. Katy Perry, Rihannon and Lady GaGa to name a few.

Stockings and suspenders do nothing for me. I went through my sexual awakening in the mid-70s, my first fumblings were with female schoolmates at my Secondary School and my first sex was with young women who wore jeans, or maxi skirts/dresses over tights & knickers. I find bottle green or navy blue 1970s gym knickers on a woman a turn on due to watching my 16 year old schoolmates doing PE on the schoolyard, I find dark leggings a turn on due to the girls I knew in my 20s. Stockings and suspenders, not even a twitch.

I prefer to see tights and I much prefer 'hold-ups'.

The only girls I ever knew who wore stockings and suspenders were Punk Rockers who were wearing them minus skirts 'ironically' and believe me, taking down a girl's tights is a doddle if you've ever had to pull down a punkette's skin-tight latex fetish knickers in a club toilet cubicle.

Today, in the day of tights (pantyhose for our transatlantic members) hold-ups, leggings, jeggings and so on I suspect the first thing that would need to happen to bring back stockings and suspenders would be a mould that ate up all the lycra in the world.

A possible solution,at some factories and distribution centers they would give a "shift differential" meaning you got extra pay if you worked swing or grave yard shift.

Maybe we could get the corporate world to offer a "Garter Belt" Differential.

That would make both sexes happier and I daresay increase productivity in some form or fashion.

Only yesterday, my wife Sue…. Went to work wearing stockings.

She doesn’t wear them every day, sometimes it’s suspender tights or even tights. It’s a case of when the mood takes her.

When talking to her female friends and colleagues, they have discussed stockings and they all only wear them in the bedroom for their partners (those that do wear them)

Sue’s view is that they make her feel feminine and sexy, and that her women friends no longer care about such things so no longer have the incentive to wear them outside of the bedroom.

As for Stockings and suspender to make a big come back…… Its purely fashion and the culture of the day, it might change… fingers crossed!

They've never completely gone away. But the modern versions are rubbish. Cheap & tacky Anne Summers type of gear with suspender belts that sit low down around the thighs as opposed to higher up around the waist.

Add to the mix a generation of young women who don't have a clue about HOW to wear them properly, and the results are generally disastrous, radiating about as much sexiness and feminine allure as a baboon in lipstick.

Totally agree.... there is some right tat on the shelves these days.

My Wife buys RHTs and FFNs online, they cost a few bob mind, but worth the expense.
