I think you may find much of the increase in hate crimes is more to do with the backlash against Islamic extremists and not about Brexit per se.
I'd also like to know if the reporting parameters have changed, how many are just verbal comments?.

the phrase remoaner is commonly expressed in the mainstream media, including the BBC, and is used to describe someone who not only wants to remain in the EU, but is hell bent on going against the will of the people as expressed by the referendum result, not at all insulting, just a shorthand

the phrase brexshitter is never aired because it includes profanity, and thus at least an order of magnitude beyond the acceptance of the phrase remoaner

Forecasts, predictions and guessing about the likely outcome of a Leave vote are not the same thing as telling lies. The boss of Crest Nicholson guessed wrong and backed up his wrong guess by holding back from purchasing new land when, had he had better knowledge, he would have continued to buy new land. The outcome of the Leave vote has so far proven both side wrong and the fat lady hasn't even left the dressing room yet.

But this link illustrates a point. The Labour and Lib-Dem opposition were very indignant that David Davies had not produced 74 different detailed economic forecasts and projections on the consequences of the Leave decision in various sectors of the economy. He was wrong (and lied) when he misled the country into assuming that this work was being done. But he was quite right to say that such forecasts and models are unreliable, and I think he was right to refuse to waste resources on such a futile endeavour. When I was a child there used to be Gypsy Rose Lee at the local fair every year with a crystal ball and tarot cards and she was probably both cheaper and more accurate.

I also remember George Osborne telling us unemployment would rise sharply, economic activity would fall, he would be forced to raise taxes and cut spending in an emergency budget. Boris Johnson told us we would have an extra £350 million pounds a week to spend on the NHS.

In the case of Osborne (or AJ Raffles, Gentleman-Thief as I always think of him) I listened to the prediction of a disaster and I thought of how simply dreadful it was going to be when we chose not to join the Euro, and how all the City types and most of the politicians were so delighted when we did join the ERM, and what an actual disaster that one was. It is the story of the little boy who cried Wolf. I am totally not surprised that his cries of impending doom have not materialised; the man is more full of shit than a cowshed.

In the case of Boris Johnson, I read a news feature today about a woman mummified in Switzerland who turned out to be his ancestor. Poor woman; she had caught syphilis and the mercury treatment had both poisoned her and preserved her remains from decay. But as I remember it, syphilis travels down the generations causing all sorts of hereditary damage. This could explain quite a bit about Boris.
