well wire transfer is out the question as my USA bank would charge me $35. I checked out the other methods and didn't find one that would accept my visa card. I tried 4 that appeared to accept visa master card using previous cards that have worked in the past. As the years go by it's harder and harder to find a way to pay these file sharing sites with a credit card. Suggestions for a guy in the USA with credit card. I have never used bitcoin and wouldn't know how.

I did a little research. Apparently Paypal & Credit Card groups (Visa, MC) have been pressured by groups (Hollywood/government) to stop allowing payments to filesharing hosts of any sort. At these prices I can not imagine every buying even one; hopefully I can buy (fraction) just enough to get a 1 year subscription. |

Denaniel - thanks for the help/guidance.
Unfortunately I could not get digitadiko on 1fichier to work. I did go to the website and found the discounted offer for 13.99 EU. Thought I would try. It did not work; seemed to but failed to authorize. My CC companies didn't even acknowledge that a charge was attempted. Citi & Bank of America. Finally did get coinbase to work. Much easier than I expected. However it did take a total of 3 hours from start to getting the premium account. Partially due to me not waiting around at my PC and my CC company (BoA) taking it's sweet time to confirm the transaction. After denying the transaction I tried a second time and BoA sent me a delayed text message before approving the transaction. Finally I have a premium 1fichier account for a year. |

I stumbled upon the 1fichier special offer today to extend/purchase premium for one year for only ten euros. Thankfully, I had already purchased bitcoin the last time I tried to take advantage of a similar one-day offering, and I was able to extend premium for another year just now.

I dislike having to sidetrack this thread, but I think this is the proper one for my query.
I think you know the way I download files from the internet is via public wi-fi. My connectivity at home is v.92, which is not going to work for much beyond old 1970s loops. I've had recent problems with downloads from 1fichier which bomb out very early in the effort. Then 1fichier decides I am still downloading the file which it just bombed out on me and won't let me retry. This occurs regardless of whether I am logged on to 1fichier or not. The suspicion I have is that the public wi-fi network via which I access 1fichier is responsible for this snag; it will not let anything hosted therein downloaded via its network. But 1fichier is an accomplice in this snag by not recognizing that something is aborting its downloads. Further, it will not tell me when I can retry downloading the file. Is anybody else here experiencing this snag? What can I attempt to avert this snag?

Ugh, this sorry site hasn't worked in a couple of weeks...about 10 minutes at 250 kb/second, then craps out with a failed download, every frickin' time.
Is there any explanation for this, as I'm on a wired ethernet with broadband Internet, using the 1fichier links from the threads for Sweet Miss Fortune & Naked Stranger? If anyone has any status information on this worthless site, please post...thank you. |
