Why does every window in Paris have a view of the Eiffel Tower ?
Oh, here's one more for you nerf-herder from DH2. You can't light jet fuel and expect it to follow a precise trail right up to the wing tank and have it explode into a huge fireball and then have other planes use it as a landing guide.

I've got a reverse impossibility for you guys. This is a case where the movies and TV actually underestimate real world capabilities. In all those police procedurals where they are trying to track where a cell phone call is or was made from they show scenes of "Oh, it bounced off this tower so it must be somewhere within X miles of this neighborhood" they are underplaying reality. In the US, under something called E911 Phase II, cell phone service providers are required to be able to pinpoint the location of a caller to within about 100 feet and pass that location on to 911 (like the unblockable caller ID info) when a 911 call is made.

Gladiator
Never saw the original, but my VHS of the movie has a whole chunk of the the arena scene back to front - i.e. all of a sudden everyone is left-handed. Not that that is abad thing in itself. After all, only left-handed people are in their right minds!

Someone mentioned the film Gladiator. I like this film actually. But it deserves to be mentioned here in recognition of the sequence where Russell Crowe rides home to find that Joaquim Phoenix has had his wife and children murdered. One minute Russell is in Central Europe fighting a war under menacing skies in brooding Teutonic forests, next minute he survives an attempt on his own life in which he is severely stabbed, claret all over the place, then we next see him somewhere in sun bleached Tuscany, riding to the ruins of his family's villa, still leaking claret like its going out of fashion. I pass out if I look while I'm giving blood, and one unit is as nothing compared with the blood flowing steadily out of Russell. Even if he is coming back from the Danube and not the Rhine, he couldn't reach Tuscany on horseback in less than a week, imitating a mobile fountain all the way.
It doesn't seem very likely...

Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves
I seem to recall that when Robin landed at Dover, he said to his companoin (played by Morgan Freeman) that "this night" he will be at home in Nottingham. That must be one hell of a run. It's over two hundred and twenty miles.

The one that is guaranteed to irritate the hell out of my girlfriend is when the heroine is grappling with the bad guy but never thinks to knee him in the balls. It's even got to the point where I now find myself yelling "The bollocks, you idiot! Knee him in the bollocks!"
