Had a trip out to the seaside today in East Yorkshire & spotted this in the harbour.

I am American, and sometimes proud of that, and other times not. Sometimes I see or hear things in public - that make me cringe and realize how folks in other countries must view our stupidity. Case in point -
today, I had to grab a few things at the local hardware store. A blond woman followed me in and went straight to the register area. She said to the clerk, rather quietly, "Hello, I am here to get a plumber." The clerk looked at her, and was clearly confused. "What seems to be the problem miss?" She was fidgety, and looking confused herself, responded "Well, we are dealing with a problem in our bathroom this morning.... and need a plumber." Her face was beginning to turn red and was clearly uncomfortable with the attention this conversation was getting. The clerk, who had ben scratching his head in puzzlement, was now trying his best not to laugh at her. "Miss, do you mean you are here to get a plunger?"

(Be glad you didn't get her level of education.......)
