I don't believe it even IS Welch. At the age this 'woman' is, Raquel would have had a much narrower waist and I think Raquel is enough of model to at least trim her bush.

The first time I saw this picture, was perhaps nearly 20 years.
At that time, it was rare to see a fake as good.

I saw this photo in a magazine in the early 1980s. It may have been a High Society Celebrity issue but I think it was a less known magazine. This was long before digital faking. I don't think it is a fake. I would more likely believe it was a look alike. This is about the only real/fake debated photo that I lean towards the real. It looks like her stomach to me.

Faking was not impossible in the 70's. I went out with a model in the late 70's who had a series of shots done which were not that well done. The blemishes and some of the background were airbrushed out on a Med Format blown up image., The retouched photo was then reshot with a pedestal camera and that was used to generate new negatives. You would never know that they were retouched after that 2nd set was done.

That photo exhibits all the classical traits of opportunity to have been retouched and airbrushed (eg deliberately dark background across the neck and above and a background that has different lighting but not visibly obvious as to why its so different.)

Still on FD's most wanted list... Even though his site is now closed. This pic is more famous for it's controversy than its subject matter. Not even CelebSleuth would claim this one back in the 80's. It's always been listed as "possibly?"

I know it was possible. It would have to have been done by someone who had access to professional equipment. I said I lean towards it being real, I'm not 100% committed. The second best option is that it is a look alike and not even her. A fake is the most unlikely option to me but it is still possible.

I would like to know when the first nude celebrity fake was done.

If some one could look to see if she was wearing those shoes in the movie she changes from a man to a woman or the other way around thats probably where that shot came from and it`s her or her double in that movie.

Wasn't there an Academy Awards ceremony where she was a presenter, and during her presentation, one of her breasts fell out of her evening gown? I'm sure it would have only been momentarily, but wouldn't the film still exist? I did read that after this incident, she started using tape.
